🔥 Legend of Zelda
there isn’t much evidence for Gerudo Kings serving as some sort of “stallions”, nor is there a lot of evidence for Gerudo going to Hyrule to find husbands to reproduce outside of BotW
rather, the change in ear shape in BotW, which symbolizes the Gerudo growing farther away from their old ways and closer to the Hylian ways as they now “hear the voice of the Goddess”, could evidence a deeper change in the way Gerudo live, and are birthed
what i am saying is that for all we know, Gerudo could have used to be born from the earth like desert plants after a rain and we wouldn’t know, all we know is how things are done thousands of years after most canon games
also the idea of “all these women for one man” is kind of gross and fetishistic and i don’t like it, fight me
🔥 the comics
Smoke and Shadow was the best Gene Yang comic.
That said, Im glad we have Faith Erin Hicks now.
Also, Turf Wars was really badly written for a comic written by Michael DiMartino.

Or possibly they mean the right wing media their parents consume. Obviously there’s no point in seeking out any other news media other than twitter and tumblr, because obviously it’s all just like their parents’ favorite talk radio and Fox News.
Also would make more sense. (because what we really need right now are more people vilifying “the media.” )
You will always remind me of Katara and King Bumi. I also think of you every time I see a Moomin.
??? !!! Now I am curious on what lead to Katara and King Bumi, I can guess why Moomin though. ;)

“Loki,” Banner said, and Loki hated the gentleness of his voice. “This is what Thor wanted.”
A scream started somewhere in Loki’s head. “What,” he said through his teeth, “is that supposed to mean?”
“Calm down,” the sorcerer said.
“If you say one more word to me I swear I will bury you in the foundations of this house,” Loki said, and he could hear the desperate vibration in his voice, staring at Banner. “Banner. Bruce.”
“We talked about this,” Banner said. He looked shaken, scared, but his eyes stayed on Loki. “After you told us about everything. Well, Thor talked to Heimdall.”
“I know,” Loki said flatly. “He told me, they decided that in the event of an attack Valkyrie would take the escape pods and Heimdall would send you to Midgard-”
“And you,” Banner said. “Me, and you.”
Loki’s stomach plunged. He locked his knees so he didn’t sway. The screaming in his head got louder. Oh no, Thor, he thought, suddenly nauseated. What did you do?
For the Fanfic Reader meme: 4, 6, 13?
4: has a fic ever made you cry?
Generally, despite the fact that I have so many fandom-feels, fics don’t make me cry. Even fics that I really really love! There are a few exceptions though, generally when fics speak to something real about my life-experiences.
I think Kaddish by @sputnikcentury made me cry, because it spoke to my own relationship with my and my family’s Jewishness (which also prompted me to eventually write my own sort of converse fic.)
In Days to Come and It Doesn’t Always Roar, both by @intelligencehavingfun (ao3 user Realmer06) have made me tear up because the portrayal of Neville’s childhood self-doubt and insecurity and his growing into himself and his confidence reminds me so much of my own experiences in middle school and high school, that it touched me deeply.
And, while not relatable to me, and though I don’t know whether or not I actually cried, I remember having physical chills when I read stained in tea-colors by ao3 user sangi, goodbye to the creek joining the river by @meskime (ao3 user Meska), and able and willing by @searchingforserendipity25.
6: what’s your least favourite fanfic category?
I like character-driven stories, and I don’t tend to read anything above a T-rating (with very rare exception), so I guess PWP is my least-favorite fic category. Meaning I literally never read it.
13: do you read author’s notes usually?
Generally, yes. Unless it’s really really long, or seemingly has nothing to do with the fic or the fandom!
