gearing up for my annual reread of the Queen's Thief series
“He doesn’t LOOK like a king.”
Eugenides from the Queens thief series! My wife got me to start reading them recently and I’m obsessed.
watched Nimona. "Arm chopping is not a love language" these people have clearly never met the Attolians
any time i see anything about m/f ships, my brain starts vibrating & all I can think about is the Extremely Married couple who perpetually have knives to each other's throats, who are constantly both symbolically & literally locked in cages, often of their own making, who are simultaneously extremely isolated & deeply loved by so many of the people around them who are so utterly hopelessly in love with each other that they actually feel safe enough to lose their tempers and cry and be small and weak and vulnerable to be PEOPLE around each other instead of these unshakeable pillars of strength & confidence they present around literally anyone else
I’m gonna draw them and be done with it lol. No… the audiobook are so tempting! Don’t want to reread the last book again because I really don’t have the time.
Eugenides / Eugenides
"One of us might be assassinated and then my heir will be king. Don't give up hope just because chances are slim." "For the assassination or the heir, Your Majesty?"
Eugenides to Costis, and Costis’s response, The King of Attolia.
Attolia Irene miscarried her first child two books later.
Quick little early morning thieving practice while dad ‘sleeps’
