Kissing My Fears: Transforming Darkness into Power
Introduction: Fear as a Teacher
Fear is one of humanity’s most primal forces. It is instinctive, raw, and often paralyzing. For much of my early life, fear wasn’t just an abstract concept—it was a constant companion. The dark, ghosts, the idea of losing loved ones, blood, and even the prospect of public speaking triggered waves of anxiety and dread in me.
Yet through my psychic journey, I discovered something radical: fear itself could be my teacher. Instead of fighting or suppressing it, I could embrace it. I learned to “kiss” my fears, to welcome them as part of me. In doing so, fear transformed from a barrier into a blessing, from an enemy into an unlikely ally on the path to power and spiritual growth.
This blog shares my journey of embracing fears—how sitting in darkness, facing death, accepting vulnerability, and transforming resistance into transmutation shaped me. Alongside, I’ll share practical exercises that you can use to befriend your fears and unlock the strength hidden within them.
The Power of Facing Darkness
Darkness was my first and most persistent fear. As a child, when lights went out, my imagination conjured ghosts, demons, and shapeless threats. The unknown within the dark terrified me.
Instead of running away, I forced myself to sit in pitch-black rooms for long stretches. At first, the fear was unbearable—my heart raced, my skin crawled, and every sound seemed amplified. Yet something surprising happened: the longer I stayed, the more the fear shifted.
I discovered that fear thrives on resistance. The more I pushed against it, the stronger it became. But when I stopped fighting, when I simply accepted the darkness, it lost much of its venom.
Over time, darkness became not a threat but a teacher of resilience. The stillness within it revealed something profound: what we fear is often just our own unacknowledged energy reflected back to us.
Overcoming Specific Fears
Fear of Death and Ghosts
Death was not just an abstract fear for me; it became deeply personal when I lost my brother Rajesh. Childhood stories had already made death and spirits terrifying, but his passing brought those fears into sharp focus.
At first, the fear was unbearable. I dreaded the thought of ghosts and struggled to reconcile my grief. But through psychic exploration, I began to glimpse death differently—not as an ending, but as transformation. Spirits, once terrifying, became expressions of continuing energy.
By facing my fear of death, I learned peace: death is not the enemy but part of the universal cycle.
Fear of Dogs
After my brother was bitten by a rabid puppy, I carried a deep fear of dogs. Their bark, their presence—even from a distance—triggered panic.
One day, I decided to stop running. I reached out and allowed a dog to lick my hand. In that simple act—accepting the dog’s “kiss”—terror shifted into tenderness. The fear dissolved, replaced by a new connection.
That moment taught me: when you dare to meet fear directly, it often turns into love.
Fear of Blood
Blood had always unsettled me, made worse by family health struggles. Even small injuries felt overwhelming. I confronted this by combining exposure with spirituality: witnessing blood while chanting mantras like “Om Namah Shivaya.”
This integration shifted my perspective. Instead of seeing blood as a symbol of danger, I began to see it as life-force energy, sacred and powerful.
Fear of Public Speaking
Perhaps one of my greatest challenges was speaking in public. As a boy, even reading aloud made my voice tremble. I avoided it whenever I could.
Yet destiny had other plans. Over time, through coaching, meditation, and sheer persistence, I moved to the other extreme: giving talks, leading workshops, and even speaking for days at a time.
The key was not eliminating nervousness but accepting vulnerability. By leaning into the fear of judgment, I discovered that true power lies in authentic presence.
Mindset Shifts: From Resistance to Transmutation
For years, I believed fear was something to conquer or eliminate. But fighting fear only deepened its grip. The real breakthrough came when I realized that fear is energy.
Energy is neither good nor bad; it is neutral. When I stopped labeling fear as “negative” and began treating it as raw energy, I could transmute it. By “kissing” fear—accepting it fully, even welcoming it—I found that fear transformed into fuel.
Instead of draining me, it gave me strength, creativity, and psychic sensitivity. Fear became not a wall but a doorway into deeper power.
This shift required three key realizations:
Acceptance dissolves resistance. Whatever we push away persists. Whatever we embrace changes.
Fear is a mirror. It often reveals unhealed parts of ourselves—our shadow—waiting to be integrated.
Transformation is possible. Fear energy can be redirected into intuition, passion, and resilience.
Exercises to Befriend Your Fears
Here are practices that helped me transform fear into a source of strength. They are simple but deeply effective when practiced consistently.
1. Sitting in Darkness
Find a safe, completely dark room.
Sit quietly, allowing the fear to rise.
Resist the urge to flee. Instead, breathe deeply and stay present.
Notice how fear peaks like a wave, then naturally subsides.
With repetition, darkness shifts from a source of terror to a teacher of stillness.
2. Visualizing Fear
Imagine your fear as a being or object.
Instead of fighting, approach it gently.
In your mind, “kiss” it—symbolizing full acceptance.
Notice how the fear changes shape when it is welcomed instead of rejected.
3. Physical Confrontation
When safe, approach a physical aspect of fear.
Example: if afraid of dogs, spend time near a calm one.
Approach with curiosity, not force.
Allow the body to relearn safety through gentle exposure.
4. Mantras and Chanting
When fear arises, chant sacred sounds such as “Om Namah Shivaya” or “Shambho.”
The vibration steadies the mind and transforms fear into devotion.
5. Breath and Presence
Inhale deeply, focusing on the present moment.
Exhale slowly, repeating: “I am safe.”
Continue until the fear softens.
6. Journaling Your Fear
Write down the fear in detail.
Then write a letter to it, thanking it for protecting you.
This shifts the relationship from enemy to ally.
These practices work because they replace resistance with acceptance. Instead of running from fear, you learn to sit with it, transform it, and harness its hidden power.
Lessons Learned: Gifts Hidden in Fear
Through decades of facing fear, I discovered valuable lessons:
Fear is not the enemy. It is a messenger pointing to parts of ourselves we have not yet embraced.
Courage is not the absence of fear. It is the willingness to act with fear present.
Darkness reveals light. What we avoid often holds the greatest keys to growth.
Transformation is possible. By befriending fear, we reclaim energy once trapped in anxiety.
Fear opens psychic gateways. Many of my deepest insights arose after I faced what terrified me most.
Fear strengthens compassion. By knowing my own vulnerabilities, I became more empathetic toward others.
Fear and intuition are linked. Often, what feels like fear is the threshold of a deeper knowing waiting to emerge.
Conclusion: From Darkness to Power
Kissing my fears was not just a personal healing practice—it became a turning point in my psychic and spiritual journey. By embracing fear rather than resisting it, I discovered untapped reservoirs of strength and clarity.
Darkness, once a source of dread, became a wellspring of resilience. Ghosts became energies. Dogs became companions. Blood became sacred. Public speaking became a stage for service.
The truth is simple yet profound: fear is energy. When resisted, it imprisons. When embraced, it transforms.
By kissing your fears—meeting them with love instead of resistance—you not only dissolve illusions of weakness but also open the gates to power, intuition, and the boundless light within.

Today in Gundam History: August 13th
AD 2263: Arthur Goodman born (G00). Arthur would later grow up and join the A-Laws. Chances are you remember him as “the fat blond captain guy” instead of his name.
These kiddies are now three! What a blast these years have been with them. I can’t wait to see what the future awaits us.
I’ll always love ya.
