I've been seein a lot of fem klance content the past month or so and discourse over their fem names, so now I have thoughts !!

From what I've seen, it's been pretty widely agreed on that Lance would be Lana, assumably bc of the "Lan" but I also think it's fitin for her !

where i've seen more back and forth is in discussion over Keith's name change w/ the main ones bein Kira, Keira (for the spellin reason), and Kat (allegedly short for Katana, which is hilarious and wonderful)

So now I'm just imaginin Keith bein a total brat about how her name is pronounced

Keira, pronounced kee-AIR-uh which is, oh so slightly different from kira (KEE-rah) with most American accents (thinkin of american accents specifically since that's how they sound in the show 🙄) even when you're enunciatin it, will call ppl out and straight up ask if they're stupid if they keep sayin it wrong

kiera and kira are pronounced quite differently with a southern accent so she absolutely does not understand why everyone is sayin it like it's the same and lookin at her like she's crazy while she's correctin em. and bein.. herself. she assumes they're fuckin with her

NOW. imagine- Garrison Lana comin up to Keira in class on the first day tryna be friendly and introduce herself but pronouncing her name wrong so Keira, havin had already corrected several teachers & classmates td, snaps at her

AND THEN Lana, who's been picked on for her own accent in the past, gets mad as hell thinkin Keira is doin the same and takes it personal bc she was just tryna be nice

thus, beginnin the one-sided rivalry where Lana doesn't talk to Keira and explainin why, in the savin Shiro scene, Keira doesn't know Lana's name ‼️💥💥💥

love when ppl take their canon universe headcanons into AUs. like yes. hard of hearing Lance. bc of the explosion & guns are loud. makes sense

but then that hc just stays with their image of the character so firmly that it's now just another character trait in all their other fics 😭

so yesterday was my senior prom, and I went with 2 of my best friends (one of which is my ex, but that's a whole thing im not gonna get into here) and met up with a pretty big group- roughly 15 ppl counting some friends who didn't start with us but hung around for most of the time

and near the end, when ppl who were only there for pictures and prom court were heading out, the dj was getting to the end of the song suggestions and apparently decided to play Despacito.

interesting choice for a school with a nearly 50% Mexican student body after only playing white girl pop, country and club music the whole time, but okay. wtv. I was thinking abt Voltron Heros anyway. I have issues (autism)

Now my ex, who is the one that got me properly into vld back in 2020, my best friend, who has had to hear everything about it pretty much since then and one of my other very close friends, who introduced me to vld in 2018 all knew that's what I was thinking before I even started singing it, solely from how I reacted to the intro.

now, I'm dancin around and singing a parody song made 7 years ago completely from memory, quite literally surrounded by friends who all know (to varying extents) how much of a nerd I am, but no one. and I mean no one. was prepared for the moment Despacito ended and I shouted to my group "IT WOULD BE SO FUNNY IF THEY PLAYED GASOLINA TOO" (only the original 3 ppl mentioned truly knowing what that had to do with anything) and immediately after a laugh from one friend and an exasperated groan from another I KID YOU NOT. Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee's 2004 hit Gasolina starts blaring

summer break allows me far too much free time. im gonna be a new person by next month with all these brain altering pieces I've discovered

something I really enjoy (and suggest doing if you're bored or sad but too tired to read/focus on a fic) is listening to a funny podcast- gaming, comedy, wtv- and imagining them as voltron characters

It's like incorrect quotes but live in my brain

I found this podcast that's 2 grown men who were childhood best friends, and they're so easy to imagine as nearly any vld duo

I have a shirt that an old friend got me w/ the word Autism in the Metallica font on it and I think it's really funny so td I brought it w/ me to my dress rehearsal- mainly so I didn't have to wear a costume home after but also bc I wanted to show my favorite dance teacher.

now im just sittin in my dressin room before call time bc I wanted to be able to set all my stuff up when this teacher comes in to chit chat - as she does

I, ofc, immediately took this opportunity to show her my shirt

before I could even turn ts around to show her she goes, "Is it voltron?" like. it's hilarious that you met me this year, and would say that to me, but no 😭😭

I was on ft with my bsf last night talkin about klance, as I do, and she had an absolutely wild question/ take

bro said, "so is klance like.. drarry"

I actually had to take a minute. bc WHAT

WHY would you say this.

mind you, bro hasnt read HP since elementary school and has never seen voltron (but knows damn near everythin about the characters bc she loves me sm (i talk a lot) AND she didn't really have internet access until late middle school..

I was deep in the pits of pinterest and reading shitty oneshots on mfing wattpad in 6th grade while she's was down the street, rewatchin Pocahontas on the daily

So naturally, I went on a crazy long rant about the differences in their dynamics, especially later on in their respective series that went on so long bro fell asleep 😭😭

i then proceeded to spend 4 hrs on Pinterest looking at stupid vld headcanons and art, specifically garrison klance bs bc id been talkin bout their "rivalry" and wtv

So when she wakes up in the morning, she's going to have 30+ pinterest notifs and she will understand. <33
