he's tried so hard to communicate with you but you're just sitting there all pretty, blinking at him with a blank face so Soundwave is taking initiative to fix this. you're going to understand him better... even if he does find your clueless expression cute. he wants you to enjoy conversing with him, he doesn't want you to think he's boring... he knows that talking to him can feel like talking to a wall with the way he never responds with his voice.
so now, with everyone else, his screen is basically blank & intimidating but then when you show up theres kaomojis on his screen.

it would be sooo helpful, especially if you're someone who struggles to understand or catch people's emotions. it might sound silly but there's a net zero chance of miscommunication now.
