Shane Hollander’s time in Montreal is the quintessential autistic experience.
Thinking the guys he hangs out with are his friends. Turns out they like him because he does most of the group project.

any other autistic adults with bad elopement issues?
i keep just leaving social situations without saying anything
and i don’t really know what to do about it
i’m usually overstimulated or someone talking or needing me for something interrupts my plans i laid out for myself to do
So, I find this take to be unhelpful and even kind of damaging not because I don't believe autistic people can do harm, but because 9/10 times, my experience has gone like this: 1) I do or say something, 2) the person gets upset, 3) I don't realize that they're upset or I do but I don't know why, and 4) instead of just asking for clarification, the person stops interacting with me and tells everyone I'm an asshole. When rarely someone does bother to explain why they got upset, I always end up scratching my head and saying, "I have no idea how you pulled X meaning out of what I said/did. I said/did what I said/did because of Y." I am responsible for my actions and words. I am NOT responsible for your offensive, bad faith interpretations of what I do.
Autistic people love milfs and dilfs because growing up the only people nice to them are people older then them.
ARFID is wild cuz my body is physically demanding i eat rn i'm so hungry - but i have zero appetite if i tried to eat rn it would feel lile i was chewing on aliens and i'd puke!
hashtag NOT cool
The worst thing about being super self-aware and also having horrible emotional regulation is yes, I'm aware this is a complete overreaction and I should not be this panicked or hurt over this thing.
However, knowing that my emotional reaction is ridiculous does not mean I can make it stop. The overwhelm does not listen to me.
Grabbing my friends by the shoulder and shaking them. Do you understand. I do not control the Cry. I literally could not stop this emotional reaction if I tried, and trust me I tried for at least a handful of minutes before I failed.
I am just as disgusted with myself as you are I promise. This is not a pleasant experience for me either.
being on social media (instagram specifically) following people i know irl is so nerve-racking when they have birthdays because i am absolutely horrible at gauging how close a friendship is. like even if you told me i was your Best Friend every single day first thing in the morning i would second guess. and that applies to all friendships and so it gets so scary to go about greeting someone. because do i make a story ?? do i greet them ?? do i just like their posts ?? would it be weird if i greeted them ?? would it be weird if i didnt?? would it be weird if i gave them a whole story ?? i just completely opted out of making bday stories but now that makes me feel like a nonchalant asshole I SWEAR I CARE I JUST CANT TELL IF WE’RE FRIENDS OR ACQUAINTANCES OR IF YOU SECRETLY HATE ME and i want to get off instagram except for some reason all my class’s announcements are there so i have no choice but to feel like this all the time
