- okay so adora REALLY loved stimming with the Old SwordTM because it’s a heavy thing that SWINGS (honestly same) and it makes cool sounds and it’s fun to watch as well (good visual stim!). when she lost the sword, she replaced it with a literal weight tied to a string that she swung around because.. oh man that is FUN (i speak from experience hjhghhjik i used to do karate)

- adora’s eyes never glowed with the Old Sword (like, she couldn’t just randomly make em glowy like she does in Shot In The Dark) and now that they do it makes her skin TINGLE and it’s weird

- the New SwordTM doesn’t have the same weight to it so she can’t swing it around in the gym anymore. which. is fine. (bow buys her a substitute sword for her wedding. and it’s AMAZING)

- adora randomly summons the New SwordTM for minor inconveniences, like chopping her and catra’s wedding cake (*cough* noelle and molly *cough*). and since she doesn’t need to yell anymore, she often find random substitutes (it makes catra laugh). a certain favourite: “IM GETTING CHANGED”

Wait, could you do more autistic Adora hcs? Like does she have any same foods? And what are some stuff she absolutely avoids at any cost bc they’re absolute sensory hell?

- adora HATES fake fur (same here queen) because its a) nothing like the real thing, as she knows from having a cat gf, and b) it just. it gets caught on your nails for NO REASON and its horrid to touch and run your hands through unless extremely well made. ew.

- also velvet. am i projecting here? anyway, she just. hates the texture of velvet. like. it. its horrible. (no offense nd people who like velvet). one time catra wore a velvet suit to an event and she straight up couldn’t touch her at all. (catra wasn’t offended, esp once adora let her know) (they burned the suit) (glimmer was mad at them) (but it was hilarious)

- and sandpaper. she just. no. its all rough and horrible on her hands and bc she has all these calluses n shit it just. it makes her feel all weird and tingly and she does that thing where she just. recoils and FLAPS until they feel normal again

- grey ration bars! adora just. couldn’t handle the brown ones bc the texture was SHIT and in the end she just got stuck on the grey ones. also, she gets stuck on eating this one particular type of pasta because it just. it just. it’s nice okay? and catra knows she really likes it for more reasons than It Goes Well With The Cook’s Other Food (TM) so she makes it for her whenever adora manages to catch another cold from staying up late in the middle of winter AGAIN

- okay but apples. she literally... just.... no. (swift wind thinks she’s insane because he’s a fucking horse but each to their own yknow) and BROWNIES are just the BEST THING bc they’re like a perfect mix of grey and brown ration bars and they TASTE NICE! (when adora first saw them she thought they were brown ration bars ghnguytgtgjgvfg)

Autistic Adora hcs w a dash of angst?

- so. ROUTINE. adora needs this to function. as much as laying in with catra is nice, she really struggles to do things without at least some vague semblance of schedule. this kinda means that she can get stressed easily and then thrown off balance for the rest of the week.

- social cues are hard af. LITERALLY. like. HHHH. adora, being literally me in this situation, either laughs and says “yeah” when it seems like shes supposed to say or do something or just. books it out of there. and everyone looks after her like wHat

- sometimes adora just. doesn’t sleep. i dont know how to describe this but it’s something like a sensory overload where you need COMPLETE DARKNESS and any light at all. its too bright. so sometimes she just,,, doesn’t sleep or passes out from sheer exhaustion because LIGHT AGH and sometimes catra gets up and sits with her all night until glimmer introduces them to a thing called eyemasks
