The Losing Horse

I bet on the losing horse again.

What can I say, it seems like likes like.

Trembling, her tongue in my mouth again.

Frightened, or angry, I know not which.

She was first off the mark at the start again.

I suppose I get caught on beginnings.

Victoryless, Eve deceived snake again.

Or the other way round, I don't recall.

She looked at me, pleading, with eyes again.

A brown that is liquid and black.

Defeated, I strap on the spurs again.

Be it pistol or arrow, I am shot either way.

At the very last hurdle she bucks and she throws me,

Startled, and splayed, on the course.

Reaching muzzle to ear, she stretches to tell me,

"You bet on the losing horse."

32. I Eat Boys by Chloe Moriondo

OH this one's fun. Okay, my first thought was a dark samruby fic from ruby’s pov but I also like the idea of a ruby and ava team up, just a fic of them seducing men and wreaking havoc. i feel like the song works especially well with ava’s good girl routine. it would be a horror fic from the villain’s point of view and i think there would be some element of samruby in there for sure. i think they would delight in manipulating him into doing things that he wouldn’t ordinarily do and he would blame himself for being led but we the readers know that he is another one of their victims.
