I headcanon that Nanami would rarely and I mean almost impossibly pick a fight with you. If something actually serious happened he’d have a conversation with you, no yelling or fighting. But good lord I KNOW that man is SASSY.
He secretly likes to get on your nerves just to make you laugh, seeing you genuinely mad is something he can’t handle but mad at him jokingly? He loves it!
Example:
Say he buys a new tea for you to try out and he walks in on you steaming it in a mug he almost never uses,
“Kento this new tea you got is soo good!”
“I wasn’t aware that my mug was communal.”
“Pardon?? This was in the back of the shelf first of all, and second of all were MARRIED. Our saliva is communal at this point.”
“Hmm if you say so dear, why don’t you show me?”
Or maybe you’re gossiping on the phone with as friend and he overheard
“SHE DID WHAT? I always knew it, I saw it coming AGES AGO! You’ve gotta go? Oh okay! Love you byee!”
“I think Dr. Strange was looking for assistance.”
“Oh wow, someone has an attitude… you might as well turn green already geez.”
“You could help by getting my heart rate up.”
