I walked into the vet clinic for the workshop and started talking to the group of people closest to me, getting the impression that Dr. Pepperberg hadn’t arrived yet. We gossiped about bird behavior for a while and I kept thinking “huh this person in particular really knows her stuff”, but then she mentioned a couple of times that one of her previous birds was named Alex, and, uh, yeah, it wasn’t a coincidence lol.
