AvX: Consequences #5 Scott was happy to make a statement by remaining a political prisoner, but he is unable to stand idly by as other mutants are killed. So he allows Illyana, Magneto to come break him out, and they quite easily level the entire prison. Danger moves on, but the other three decide that if the world insists on seeing them as villains, that will do. They will be the stick to Professor Xavier's dream's carrot, and woe to anyone who persecutes mutants. On a personal note, Scott does away with pretense--he has seen enough of what Illyana is about now, and just as with Magneto fully trusts her, knowing she will give her all for a worthy cause.

Cyclops goes to jail

Obviously this jerkoff likes to talk. The takeaway is that Scott is in a private black site prison for killing Xavier.

No powers, obviously and he's unable to see. Also they can and do torture him at will. This sucks, and he has a wonderful procession of visitors coming.

Logan visits him for some reason and asks 'killed anyone lately?' as if those aren't the stupidest possible words to come out of his mouth. I'm not sure they're having the same conversation.

Scott brings up an excellent point, that this dumbass bootlicker doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Obviously he proves him right by trying to kill him, only stopping when he realises Scott is okay with that.

Immediately, the only other mutant prisoner gets murdered right in front of them both.

Logan confirms he didn't make it and tries to convince Scott to do the right thing and stay in jail. The Avengers put him here and somehow think this will convince him to cooperate. Tony, Cap, Logan, and all of SHIELD know the deal.

Surrounded by idiots and collaborators in a world out to kill him, he has Magneto, Magik, and Danger bust him out. Fuck the prison system.

7. What “throwaway” character could they have done more with ?

Does Rogue's (girl)friend Blindspot count as a "throwaway" character ? Because she only appeared in Rogue (2004), and she was in the Brotherhood at the same time as Rogue, and she was the only one who could touch her. The last time we saw her, she was asleep clutching one of Rogue's costumes tightly. With the upcoming Rogue miniseries that revisits Rogue's past, it would have been fun to bring her back

Also, I'd say Scott's cellmate, Jake, in AvX Consequences—they should have brought him back in the Krakoa era
