there are some times when it’s hard to tell where ben ends and jake starts, and the bird nerds challenge is definitely one of those times
I would just like to bring this back . . .
the thing about jake, harriet, and the candle wasters being active on tumblr is just knowing that they’re scrolling through the tag and laughing manically at us
harriett and jake make me so happy with their adventures omg u do u guys
so I’ve been meaning to do a follow forever for literally...ever. and since I’m procrastinating on revising, here it is! (I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone). anyway yes you’re all fab and I love you a lot!

Okay so I know Caleb’s glass argument is immensely flawed, especially with the sand thing, but I still think having the power to create and manipulate glass would be super cool, and something that has never been done (actually I take that back as I am remembering an episode of Smallville where a girl could telekinetically manipulate glass but other than that show I’m not so familiar with Superman comics or really DC outside of the few Green Arrow issues I’ve read). Yeah ice has a lot of benefits, but glass if more flexible, like have you ever watched someone create blown glass? Now imagine you can do that to create anything you might need. Glass shards can make great daggers if needed in a fight, but also just think of all the pretty things you can make to impress that person of your dreams! Also, having grown up in Florida, I am no stranger to “Hurricane proof windows” which are basically windows made with impact resistant glass so you don’t have to put up shutters. Since this is still a kind of glass, then with a glass superpower, you should be able to create it as well, and think of all the shield and protective properties of that! Sure, you can create a wall of ice, but when Bobby Drake did that in X-Men it was eventually broken through. Now had that been a wall of impact resistant glass, it would have been impenetrable!
So, while Caleb’s argument for Team Glass is flawed, he was right that glass is very versatile! After some thought, I still have to support the team. Team Glass 2k15. I just still don’t think that having the power to control glass translates into sand power. That is a separate thing!
So I was looking at my favourite urls on Chrome to clean a bit and I thought I would reshare with you this perfection, this gem made by our dear harriettstella and awkward-manatea. :D
