Black Beauty in the Snow.

I really wanted to take more snow photos but work ate me and then I had so many projects going on. So just a few casual photos of Maria here as it was so freezing cold I wasn't able to stay outside for long.

WiP - Grave of Maria - Face up

Maria's face is mostly covered by bandages but that didn't stop me from painting her head. The lips are visible that's reason enough.

The first layer was the base blushing, the second layer (before linework) was adding more depth.

After that I painted the eyelashes, the tearducts, eyebrows and some other smaller details.

After the final sealant layer she got glossed.

And here she is... her eyebrows are a bit uneven but I didn't notice until I pulled the photos on the pc. But I will keep her like that because..

It's not really visible anyways.

WiP - Grave of Maria - Headdress

For now Maria is just a rolling head but I still wanted to start on her as long as I have time to. Other than majority of my dolls Maria doesn't have hair but bandages that cover her head, so my goal this time is not to make a wig but a removable headdress for her.

I started like I usually start my wigs, by making a headcap. But instead of fiber I used black ribbon to glue onto the cap.

While the cap was curing I started on the butterfly wings.

First I made stencils and then cut out the pieces in EVA Foam.

For the red parts I painted thicker foil to glue it behind the wings. In the end I added bronce shimmer paint as the pure black looked to plain for her.

And here is the finished headdress!

I will paint her next, as I still have to wait for her body to arrive I can't start on her dress.

Boxopening - Babeltower Tian #3 (Grave of Maria)

So my Babeltower Head got shipped. I orderd it back in May from Clover's Singing. And despite all the negative feedback going on my transaction was perfect, everything arrived quick and like i ordered. Anyways here is the boxopening.

Can we talk about this pretty box? Such an unique design for a head box.

And here she is! My base head for Grave of Maria. She will get a Gem of Doll body that will hopefully ship soon-ish.
