This girl got new glasses!! This is her 4th prescription in a year and hopefully it helps. She’s been having difficulty with keeping her old ones on and at her last appointment the ophthalmologist said it could be due to the prescription being off. Because of the prescription we’ve noticed that her strabismus has been pretty extreme lately and the doc thinks that she is going backwards and trying to turn her vision off again in her left eye. ⁣ Hopefully this new set of specs help her get those eyes back on track and she keeps her vision “on” in her one eye. This girl and her accessories!! After not having her glasses for over a week because of losing them she finally has them back. Unfortunately this makes for a not too happy girl because she has to wear both her glasses and AFOs pretty much at all times. It’s the start of another new adventure for this beautiful little girl!! Last week saw a neuroophthalmologist and he changed our game plan completely. Luckily for this girl she will no longer be doing patches and instead has special eye drops that will work to the same effect and save her sensitive skin. She was also prescribed glasses as she is farsighted. The glasses aren’t to help her see exactly but instead to help correct her cross eyes by helping her focus. She will be wearing the glasses and doing the drops for the next 6 months and possibly longer. All we know is in the two hours she has been wearing them.
