Posted @withregram • @heysleepybaby The info below is great but the reason I re-shared it is because as a BodyTalk practitioner I am able to help you resolve the anxiety, I'm able to help teach you the skills to rest when baby sleeps if you cannot. Some of these skills are part of my new Personal Evolution class but private work with BodyTalk is always so beneficial. As an infant sleep Educator I can tell you that there will be constant changes and ups and downs with your child's sleep but the thing you have control over is your response and how you take care of yourself. I'm here to help. #bodytalksystem .... @heysleepybaby's post: How many times have you been told to sleep when your baby sleeps? Even though it's well-meaning advice, for some moms, this couldn't be harder! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Many moms postpartum are dealing with anxiety or insomnia. They can't simply sleep at the drop of a hat just because their baby is napping. Moms with anxiety might worry about falling asleep, be afraid to let the baby sleep without watching or holding them, or have racing thoughts that prevent them from relaxing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you're struggling with anxiety or insomnia, I encourage you to seek some guidance from a trusted healthcare provider. You deserve rest and you certainly need sleep to function. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Some better advice might be: REST and RECHARGE when baby sleeps. Practice some deep breathing, listen to a book or a podcast, watch a show you enjoy, or take a walk outside while baby sleeps in a carrier or stroller. If you CAN nap, great! But most of us can't. Whatever you do, don't try to be "productive" while your baby sleeps. Give yourself permission to rest and fill your cup, whatever that looks like for you! #sleepwhenbabysleeps #restwhenbabyrests #babynaps #postpartumdepression #postpartumanxiety #pmd #postpartuminsomnia #selfcareformoms #fillyourcup #fillyourcupfirst https://www.instagram.com/p/CFVCdkxHu3J/?igshid=f9u7mallprkt
