Backstory Mystery Boxes!

These are the backstories of three (3) out of the six (6) members of the Constantinople crew. To both have them in writing and avoid potential spoilers / ruining future plot twists, I’m going to put them here and you can just guess who is who!

#1 They were an only child and grew up on their home planet. Their parents already had it in their minds what they wanted from their child the moment they were expecting. However, as a child their talents didn’t match the expectation put upon them. They were very talented, if also a bit ‘strange’ compared to other members of their species. Their parents were obviously disappointed, but over time came to realize their disappointment was self-inflicted. They allowed their child to pursue their passion which eventually let them get a spot on the Constantinople. Some part of them still was affected by their perceived failure to meet expectations. They are especially self-conscious about how different their behavior is from that of other members of their species and how much it makes them stand out.

#2 They grew up off of their homeworld raised mostly by extended family / relatives. From a young age they were prepared to follow in their footsteps when it came to occupation. They were also the only child in the immediate vicinity of where they were raised. Many people doted over them, constantly encouraging them and praising them, but also protecting them from any kind of difficulty. And they strongly benefited from nepotism, basically gifted their position on the Constantinople. But have a position that actually required responsibility was a wake-up call. Suddenly things were difficult. Not impossibly difficult, but there was no one else to take over their responsibilities. They had to learn fast and sometimes the hard way. But they adapted. What’s more they turned out to be actually good at their job, even if they don’t feel like it. In their mind, if they were doing such a good job, why was it hard?

#3 They are the middle child of Star Fleet officers. Not getting as much attention as their siblings led them to be very independently minded. They quietly develop their talents on their own, and developed a strong set of beliefs based off of what they saw in the world around them. Once the time came, they left their family home, seeking adventure among in the stars. (They knew, from their parents, that is where all the *cool* stuff happens.) They are physically distant from their families now but still make an effort to keep in touch. They have no regrets about joining the Constantinople, in their eyes she is the finest ship to ever fly. But that could just be the wanderlust talking.

Backstory time!

I swear, I'm going to give Scrap a terrible life just to make up for the fact that she's a clown and is adorable for some reason.

Oh, wait. I already wrote her backstory.

Scrap was a cute 5-year-old girl when she joined the circus. She made balloon animals and did magic tricks. That was all ruined though once her mother decided to permanently sell her to the circus for some money.

Scrap seemed to not care about it though since the circus life was fun! Until the ringmaster got a little creative with his acts. He started to make her do juggling with knives, walk on a tight rope over fire, and do magic tricks with actual weapons and not props.

It was fine though! I mean, she was a teenager, so it wasn't hurting anybody at all and not her since she was used to it. One tragic day though, she was juggling the knives while standing on a ball and missed a knife...

The knife landed straight through her chest and the other knives followed along, stabbing every part of her body. She died that day.... Which is what everybody thought, until she showed up a few days later, looking completely different. Scrap looked like a monster to them, but the show must go on. So, after the show was over, the ringmaster didn't pity her. He kept her in a cage instead because she was always considered a monster no matter what.

Scrap didn't care though. She just wanted to see that nice TV lady and that somewhat scary robot again. They saw her as a friend, not as a monster. She just wanted to make her momma proud for once.

Ive been wanting to explore the idea of just how some ghosts are made in the ghost zone (and maybe some cool character backstories too.), I thought it’d be interesting if the little blobby ghosts had some type of ability to sense when a soul is near and would help build the ghost from the ground up so to speak. They’re dormant most of the time, and only congregate when this kind of event happens. Furthermore! I think that ghosts form near other ghosts, maybe not the nicest ones, its more like a dice role, and unfortunately for Johnny he roles with some bad luck.

This is a test comic to see how much I get done and finish it! :D

Self indulgent OC lore!

A story of a Jedi and his medic.

Sol wasn't his name then, but his prior name is lost to the sands of time.

The Jedi fingered the simple pendant that hung around his neck as he flew through hyperspace on their return to Utapau. It was one of a few necklaces that he never removed, and he would unconsciously play with it often. All of them bore an intense significance to Sol, but this was the most important thing he owned. He would sooner give up his saberstaff than this small shard of plastoid armor. He still wasn't sure where it had been obtained, but he had his ideas....

He rubbed his thumb once again across the rough carving in the pendant, a set of four numbers carved in painstakingly, that meant everything to the former jedi. 6116. As in CT-6116, the clone medic Kix, of the 501st battalion in the Grand Army of the Republic. His eyes closed, cutting off unshed tears as he again slipped back into memories.

Ahkeema placed a hand gently on Sol's shoulder, "my padawn, you are ready for this. You've got the finest soldiers under your command, and you know how to lead. These boys would follow you into an active volcano if you let them"

Sol smiled at his master and friend. "Well let's hope it doesn't come to that, eh Master Sukrii? And be careful, don't jinx me!" They shared a laugh as he loaded onto the gunships that would take them to the front lines....

Sol had recently turned 18, and it was his first solo mission with the 413th Company. Scout, his soft spoken and trustworthy Lt, helped him lead and the fighting was fierce. They had been dispatched as back up to help supplement the 501st in this battle, and had helped to turn the tide.

Despite their efforts, the battle was still brutal and Sol and a dozen or so troopers had been separated from the main force of their company. Sol didn't know how they'd been separated, which was a problem in and of itself that he would worry about later. He pushed his growing shame and disappointment away and focused on keeping himself and his squad alive for the moment, as they were pushed farther and farther into the ravine.

As they were backed up against a far wall, Sol defended his beloved troopers with his saber, falling deep into the Force; as his boys fired from behind. The droids fell, but not fast enough. Somewhere behind, he felt the explosion of a grenade, and heard Scout cry out as the clone collapsed unceremoniously into a heap behind him. Sol screamed in rage, flinging his arm out, pushing back the front line of droids and disrupting the line, as he kept marching forward. Twitch, the squads medic ran to his side to make sure he was still breathing, shooting droids the entire time. Sol could distantly hear one of the men giving coordinates and calling for help, but it was drowned out by constant blaster fire.

The conflict must only have taken minutes, but it felt like hours as their strength and resolve flagged, and the droids seemed neverending. Sol was hit in the shoulder, and while the shot was blocked by armor, it hit hard enough to deaden his arm instantly, the impact shattering his collarbone, and his saber clattered to the dirt.

Falling to his knees, he grabbed the still lit saber with his left hand, and attempted to keep deflecting shots away from the troopers, but it was getting much harder to do through the pain. He took another shot to the side, and heard another of his troopers cry out. It was nearly over, but Sol', the Jedi and future Mandalorian, would fight to the death for his men if necessary.

"I am one with the force, the force is with me." He repeated the mantra that his master had taught them long ago, in what felt like a galaxy far far away.

Moments or perhaps hours later, the battle ended. Sol heard the sweet sounds of DC-17 fire coming in from behind the droids, and saw the bright white and blue of the 501st as they mowed down the opposition from behind. He sighed in deep relief, battered body shuddering in pain, saber lowering slowly to the ground before it deactivated, as he saw their knights in shining, scuffed armor coming to their aid, lead by the always impressive captain Rex. Sol's eyes glazed over as the adrenaline fled his body and the pain from his injuries took over, and he saw the medic dash forward, catching him before he hit the ground.

"My hero." His shaky voice whispered out, as his eyes slipped closed and his thoughts went dark.

Sol awoke some time later, in the medbay of the transport ship, sore and exhausted, but alive.

"Welcome back" said the soft voice of the medic, as he turned towards them, holding a datapad, and Sol was met with the warmest brown eyes he'd ever seen.

"I'm Kix, CT-6116" the man paused with a smile, "how are you feeling?"

(And then the Republic never fell and order 66 didnt happen and everyone lived happily ever after...... 🙃)

- (Disclaimer: either chapter 1010 or spoilers for chapter 1010 just got out. I, as always, am trying to know things without spoiling myself (there’s no sense to find here, don’t bother) and I don’t really know what’s happening but GOD, I WANT TO BE IN WANO ARC ALREADY. But I also don’t want to ever catch up because waiting weeks for new chapter will kill me. Lots of mixed feelings here. I WANT TO KNOW)

This is a in depth description of my au. Its probably going to be a long one so under the cut it goes.

In this universe Luz is raised on the Boiling Isles and Willow, Gus, and Amity are raised in the human realm, but Luz is still a human and Willow, Gus, and Amity are still witches. In this au Eda would often leave the portal open while she went looking for stuff in the human realm, mostly so that if she needed to she had a quick get away. Each of the kids would end up going through the portal when they where young, but not all at once. Willow was the first to wander through, she was about 2 at the time, she had a blanket with a flower design on it that had her first name stitched into it. She was quickly taken in by Camila Noceda till her parents could be found. Camila eventually adopted Willow naming her Willow Flor Noceda. Willow knew that she was adopted, but still viewed Camila and Luz as family.

Willow grew up with Luz till they were 5 years old, so they both have some memories of seeing each other. Luz then ended up going through the portal, eventually being found by the Blight twins. Luz was taken back to Blight Manor where Mr. and Mrs. Blight decided to raise her as their own, but never told her she was adopted. They decided that since Luz was adamant about keeping her name to just keep it the same first name. She became known as Luz Magina Blight, believing she was Amity's twin, and her ears, skin, and inability to do magic was due to a genetic disorder.

Amity also went through the portal when she was 5. She wandered away from the twins and through the portal. She had on a circular purple necklace with a golden crescent moon and her first and last name etched in it alongside a picture of her, Emira, and Edric inside. She was placed in the care of a pair of newlywed women who cared for her to the best of their ability. Her new mom's named her Amelia "Amity" Blight Allard. They lived across the street from the Noceda residence.

The final one to go through the portal was Gus. He was 3 at the time and he had a toy dog that had his name on it in a moon shaped tag. He was taken in by a husband and wife whose daughter just went off to college. He was named Agustus Lua Silva. He knew he was adopted, but happy nonetheless. He lived nextdoor to the Nocedas.

Willow, Gus, and Amity all ended up becoming best friends with each other. The witchlings began showing their magical prowess around the age of 7. Gus and Amity's parents ended up putting Camila as their childrens Godmother. When Gus was 8 his adopted parents ended up dying in a car crash. Right before the end of school when Amity was 14 her parents decided that they wanted to take their own honeymoon, which they weren't able to do originally since they put themselves headfirst into raising Amity. They left her in Camila's care and said that they would be back to get her at the end of the summer.

Luz loved learning about magic and everything about it, but was upset she couldn't even draw a spell circle. She was friends with a young witchling girl named Bo, till she cut ties with her. Luz eventually had her hair dyed green to match her siblings and was placed in the potions track at Hexside, due to not needing magic to complete.

From here onward the story would play out the way it would in canon, but with a few modifications.
