Rookie Season prove themselves no rookies when it comes to swanky swooning R&B soul and groovalicious electro-funk in the new music video they dropped for their single Backtalker, a cut off their debut EP The Collide. The Midwest pair’s sound has been compared to Anderson .Paak, but there’s also a deliciously velveteen swagger to their plush and ritzy jam. The breezy claymation video for Backtalker was created by director/artist Azod Abedikichi, known for his work with Nike, the Olympics, ESPN, Reebok, NBA, Under Armour, and more.
