Sunset reflected in my little backyard pond. The frogs and toads sing for me every night! Several of them hatched from this very pond. I just finished getting it set up last spring.

I found a little Inornate Pyrausta moth in the perfect hiding place! A purple lil guy one a beautiful Mexican Sage blossom 🥺 and a Long-tailed Skipper because I am In Love with the teal on their back!!!
A toxic invasive species that can be deadly if eaten is spreading, wrecking havoc across parks, flower beds and backyard gardens.

Tiny white flowers speckle the ground in our backyard, blooming amid the old autumn leaves and dead grasses of last summer. The perennials are poking through the muddy earth, peeking around hesitantly, but soon they will grow bold and burst forth. Green appears here and there, and a multitude of life called weeds begins to grow. This is April. This is spring. This is wild wonder and hope.
