So I just got a VPN today(fuck you Texas) and I set my location to Canada and I just want to say....
The adds are so... Gentle? Like I'm still getting some of my old adds coming though, and not all of the new ones are quite or not annoying, but like....
For example, my old adds from before, someone pops open a soda can, TAKES SEVERAL LARGE AUDIBLE GULPS, a party breaks out, loud music plays, some voice over guy start talking about how you can be the center of the party if you just drink this drink, the audio cuts out abruptly as the camera focuses back on the guy and the party was a hallucination after he drank the drink since it's so cool, HE TAKE ANOTHER OBNOXIOUSLY LOUD GULP, the party noises start back up as the add ends.
The new adds are like. *Gentle voice* You should get our laundry detergent because it smells divine~<3 We use words like luxurious and olfactory senses to make us sound smart, here is our brand name, end of add, it was 5 seconds long exactly.
Like??? I've only just switched a few hours ago and already things are so nice???
Why the fuck do American companies think we want the most obnoxious fucking adds?? I thought that like YouTube and shit was paying off the people to make obnoxious adds on purpose to push people to pay for premium or something, that's how obnoxious they are!?
