I was told over and over that God cannot lie because lying is a sin. But yk what else is a sin? Killing. And God took life in abundance. Christians have all kinds of justification for it, all kinds of reasons for why that rule doesn't apply to God when he floods the earth or rains down fire or strikes people dead. And if that's the case, how do you know that God can't lie in the same way he can't kill? Certainly we know there are "good reasons" to lie every now and again. It's almost strange to think the almighty would be bound to truth in situations where lies saved lives. But of course, if God could lie in the same way he can kill, then how do you know he can be trusted?
