Sure, her dress was ripped from the hem to the hip; sure one of her heels had snapped off; sure her hair was a tangled mess of blood and ash. Yes, she couldn’t argue that the moment they tried to duck out of the funhouse they’d taken refuge in, their enemies would be drawn in like ants to honey when Peggy utterly failed to blend in with the crowd. But what Howard and Jarvis failed to understand is that she didn’t need them to ‘get her’ anywhere; she was fully capable without them.

True true. But there are a few people I wouldn't mind having some mutual support with, and after the complete lack that I'm getting from people I genuinely thought would provide it, I'm just in this 'what's the fucking point' state right now.

Because it continues on from the same moment, I just added it onto the end of the earlier bit -- if you go to the Put A Ring On It chapter of the mini fest on AO3 or Dreamwidth, the whole thing is there now. :) Glad you like the addition!
