Mean class 1a, younger dabi (19), they love each other but they also hate each other
Context: Dabi can't use his quirk to kill bakugou because it will make all of the nitroglycerin inside bakugou explode and the resulting explosion would kill him as well. Dabi legitimately just forgot that there are other ways to murder people. Bakugou can't kill Dabi because he's trying to be a hero.
After finding out he used to bully Deku, class 1a runs Bakugou out of the dorms.
Bakugou knocked on the door of the only person left who might help him. He was so close to breaking down or just collapsing from pure exhaustion. He just needed a place to stay for the night. His mother was home and the dorms were no longer safe. He didn't have any of his usual stuff with him because he hadn't expected to need his go-bag at the dorms. It was Winter and if he couldn't stay here he would probably end up freezing to death. Finally someone came to open the door.
Dabi had no idea who was knocking on the door of the hotel room he was staying at. He went to open it, preparing to burn whoever was on the other side of it to ash. He was surprised to see a head of spiky blond hair in front of him.
The younger boy was looking down at the pavement outside the hotel room door. He couldn't see his face. He had his arms wrapped around himself. He was also shivering violently, which was concerning but not surprising, seeing as he was out in the winter in Japan wearing sweats running shoes and a black long sleeve skull shirt. He was clearly dressed for a workout expecting to spend all the time he spent outside moving enough to generate heat and keep himself warm.
Dabi was so shocked by finding the hero student at his doorstep that he stepped aside to let him in without thinking. Bakugou had already made it a few steps into the hotel room by the time Dabi recovered from his shock enough to register that the blond was walking with a limp.
The boy was clearly injured. Dabi felt a strange sense of concern that he didn't really understand. The hero student was his enemy; he shouldn't feel concern for his enemies. He must still be in shock, he reasoned with himself. He led the blonde to the bathroom.
Bakugou had stopped shivering quite as violently once he had come into the warm room, but he was still minutely shaking. Dabi walked up to the blond standing in the middle of the bathroom. Bakugou made no move to try to get away or defend himself which only made Dabi more concerned, just because they couldn't kill each other didn't mean they didn't hurt each other and it definitely didn't mean that they trusted each other yet here the kid was, hurt and vulnerable in front of the villain. Bakugou hated showing his weakness to anyone, let alone a villain, so the fact that he was here was a dead giveaway that he had nowhere else to go.
"What happened to you?" He had to ask
"Fight" the word was said so quietly. Bakugou's voice sounded vulnerable and Dabi wasn't above admitting to himself that he was worried.
He tilted Bakugou's chin up to get a better look at his face and the evidence of the alleged fight. Dabi felt a strange pang in his chest that he didn't understand. The villain didn't know why he delicately thumbed away the streak of blood by Bakugou's mouth, saying nothing as he examined it. He felt a very familiar feeling boil up inside of him for a very unfamiliar reason.
Bakugou's brain was finally starting to process what was happening. The room was completely quiet and still for a moment , Bakugou’s heart skipped a nervous beat as Dabi looked him dead in the eyes.
When Dabi finally spoke his voice was quiet and tense, his anger barely restrained.
"W-what?" That was not what the future hero had expected him to say.
"I said, Who did this to you?” Dabi repeated his voice barely over whisper though it really sounded more like a low growl.
It sent a shiver down Katsuki's spine as he looked into the eyes of the villain. There was a strange cocktail of emotions burning in the bright blue orbs. Bakugou was having a hard time reading them. He could easily pick out anger, but he couldn't tell what it was directed towards. He saw something that looked almost like concern, but that didn't make any sense. He knew Dabi didn't care about him so why would he be concerned? At least there wasn't any pity that he could see. He looked away.
"Um.. it was my class. They found out what I did to Deku and I guess they decided to hurt me to get some sort of revenge? Tsk, the only reason I got away was cuz candy cane managed to convince them that I wasn't worth chasing after and that it was more important to make sure that Deku was okay. I expected something this like this to happen. I was actually starting to trust Aizawa until he turned a blind eye. At least they can't expel me for something that happened before I started attending UA"
Dabi was going to KILL those hero brats along with their stupid good-for-nothing teacher. He was curious though…
"Deku is the dumb green one that breaks his bones right? What did you do to him?"
"I bullied him really badly for years and then told him to kill himself"
Wow. That was seriously fucked up but It seemed out of character for the blonde to bully someone for no reason despite how aggressive he was.
"He's always been obsessed with heroes and quirks. Once of my quirk came in he latched onto it immediately. He was always following me and watching me; taking notes on everything I did. When we were young that was all he did but as we got older it got worse. He started wanting samples of my blood, sweat, and hair. He would break into my room late at night. Once I woke up at 3 a.m. to him licking my palm to see if it tasted like caramel. He got nitroglycerin poisoning and almost died. Auntie Inko and Mom were both so pissed. Auntie slapped me for almost killing her son and mom beat the shit out of me so hard I could barely walk before kicking me out for 2 weeks. I wanted him to leave me alone but he wouldn't. I told some adults, but they all said that he was just being an innocent little kid and I should let him keep doing what he was doing. He set up cameras in my room. He took my measurements and even hid a scale under my front door mat so that he could measure my weight everyday. None of the adults listened to me, people never listen to me. I didn't know what to do to get him to stop. I'm probably overreacting. It's not that bad. I mean what he does doesn't hurt me. It just makes me so uncomfortable, it makes my skin crawl knowing that he's watching me change. Makes me want to shower and scrub myself clean of his gaze. I didn't know what else to do and nothing was working and making him leave me alone so I bullied him until I finally decided that I would rather he died than make me feel this way so I told him to kill himself and destroyed one of his precious notebooks."
That was a lot to unpack. "That is not okay, he is literally stalking you."
Dabi was going to kill them, he's going to kill the hero brats, he was going to kill the pro heroes, he was going to kill adults that told Bakugou that what Deku was doing was okay, he was going to kill the green kid, he was going to kill them all. How could the heroes do something like this? How could the heroes allow something that disgusting to happen?! How could they let Bakugou get hurt, couldn't they see how beautiful he was, he was so strong and capable and hardworking?! How could they let their next #1 get hurt, couldn't they see he was the best thing to happen to hero society?!
¨Y-you think I´m beautiful? And the best thing to happen to hero society?¨
¨Shit, I didn't mean to say that outloud.¨
¨ … Anyway, can I spend the night here?¨
