continuation from this post about Clones saying “my Jedi” or, even better, “ner jeti’ka” so I don’t completely clog everyone’s dash
sorry I keep obnoxiously replying on actual posts, @bam4me but this conversation is too precious and needs to be preserved and not lost forever in the notes and “I think they’re the dom in this scenario” BROKE ME. I AM CACKLING LIKE A CARTOON VILLAIN. I LOVE IT. I could read a billion chapters of fic on this.
There was a fic or headcanon I read ages ago with Mandalore threatening the Senate to give Mandalorian citizenship to all the Clones by default, de facto taking away the entire Republic military with one act, if they didn’t grant citizenship to the Clones. It’s still one of my favourite power moves.
But in this case maybe the exiled Mandalorians actually join the Republic and so get Senate representation (or get a Senator as... displaced people? Or something. I mean, ffs, Kamino has a senator even though they are not part of the Republic, that place is a mess and there’s probably a ton of laws no one knows about that can be used to fuck around) and start filibustering everything until the Clones Personhood Act is passed.
Mandalorians and Jedi still aren’t the best of buddies, but now both groups have been AGGRESSIVELY ADOPTED by the Vode. They are family (or clan) now. I’m talking massive, awkward family dinners at the Temple.
“Attachment, this is!” Yoda complains, and Gree just stoops down to pick up the old Master, put him on his shoulder and goes “there, there, ner Jetii. Like you don’t have clans and lineages and all sort of family-like units already”
Yoda tries to complain, but then he sees some Clone Cadets playing with Initates and Junior Padawans and he has FEELINGS (which he still finds unacceptable, but he will meditate them away. Later. Much later)
