Bilbo Baggins should crash out more.

Time travel fix-it is one of the trops I like most. The Hobbit is full of it.

BAMF!Bilbo is also fun to read. There are not as many as time travel, though.

But angry Bilbo appears too little.

He has a lot to be furious about. Like, tons of it.

He could be angry with Gandalf for taking him into this "adventure" in the first place, no preparation or actual warning, just whisked him away to face a dragon. And for doing the same to Frodo, exposing him to even worse dangers.

He could be angry at Thorin for what he did during his gold-sickness, even if he wasn't himself. And for dying without making proper amends.

He could be mad at the company as a whole for treating him poorly at first. Sure, he was inexperienced in traveling. But they had realised that quickly upon first meeting him. The jokes, snide comments, treating him like an outsider when they detested being treated as such... All that just adding insult to injury.

He could be mad at Thranduil for incarcerating them unfairly, for trying to wage war against 13 dwarrow and a hobbit for gold and gems, for trying to abandon them during the war against the orcs.

At Gollum for sending those dark creatures after him and his nephew.

So, instead of crying of happiness when he wakes up in his house just before Gandalf arrived, he cursed at the universe for putting him once more in this position.

He considered closing the door in Gandalf's face, but he knew he couldn't. Too many things depended on this travel and its success. Smaug needed to die. Erebor had to be reclaimed and Dale had to be rebuilt. The ring had to be found and destroyed.

And even though he still was mad at them, the wizard and dwarrow were still his friends. He still cared.

Gandalf had no idea how Bilbo knew how much food to prepare.

The dwarrow didn't understand how someone who clearly knew little hardship (according to them), could seem so experienced in traveling.

Thorin couldn't get why his threatening glare didn't work with the hobbit... Or how such a small creature could make him feel like a child just by raising an eyebrow.

This year I had the pleasure of being part of this amazing event, THAUC 2024! And now it's time for reveals!

The wonderful creators of Thauc proposed us three different prompts but my partner @luthiendraws and I were really interested in one theme in particular:

Bilbo's deeds on the quest have garnered him attention from eligible sutures and Thorin is trying to handle his jealousy with grace.

While I worked on the first part of the lineart, the amazing @luthiendraws made the other, then we switched for the colouring phase!

I had so much fun in the making of this comic, having the chance to exchange ideas and create something together was a blast. I loved every step of the journey ;-)

Very long One-Shot (Timeloop)

When Bilbo falls off the goblin bridge he dies, but when he opens his eyes again he is falling down the slope into the goblin kingdom with the company, was what just happened a daydream he had? But when it happened again, again, and again that he died either by the goblins hands or Gollum he has the horrifying thought that he might be stuck within a place in time (a loop if you will), now he has to try and find a way to save not only himself but his dwarfs and make it out of the misty mountains alive.

New Chapter: Chapter 4- A True Guardian of Kings

“I assume you have a plan?” Thranduil pestered him for the umteenth time. 

“I’m working on it.” Bilbo grit out.

Thranduil pursed his lips but didn’t utter another word. Bilbo could see he was hurting. His leg injury was no joke, and the orcs weren’t about to take it easy on them. Sometimes speeding up to a jog until Thranduil would fall over. Then they would drag him back to his feet and begin their march again. 

The problem was, they were outnumbered, they had no weapons, and even worse, Bilbo had lost his clever little ring. In fact, he had gone nearly maniac when he realized that fact until an orc bashed him over the head with its fist. There was still an itching under his skin that demanded he go back, but he needed to bide his time. His sword, on the other hand, was hanging from the lead orc’s belt. He took one look at it, gave Bilbo a long assessing look, before stuffing it in a spare loop. Bilbo didn’t know what that meant just yet, but he had a feeling he was going to find out. 

Dol Guldur stood in the distance, a dark looming ruin, promising evil things. However, the orcs stopped a little ways outside the fortress. Where the webs were still thick in the trees. 

“Bring the little one forward!” The orc in the lead ordered.

Bilbo cursed and struggled, Thranduil almost looking worried for him, as he was brought to the front and thrown to the ground.

“Ugzaul!” The orc cried into the woods. “We have brought your Stinging Fly!”

Fangs, Feasts, and Faraway places

Summary: The Wildborn are not foreign to the lands of Middle-earth, but nor are they common. In such places like the Shire, being of the Wildborn bloodlines is something to be proud of, that is unless you are a mutt. When Bungo Baggins and Belladonna Took got together, all the hobbits of the Shire wondered what would come of their union. Before her, none of the Wildborn bloodlines had intermingled.

Of course, what came from it, was a disaster. Poor little Bilbo Baggins. Poor little mutt. Not a great silver wolf that represented the Tooks nor an elegant golden wolf of the Baggins. An eyesore and a topic that everyone wanted to avoid. Simply give him his dues and be on your way quickly.

The Shire truly had a reason to celebrate the day news spread that Bilbo Baggins had been whisked away from the Shire by dwarves.

In the most recent chapter we delve into what the groups are doing while separated after the orcs and trolls incident.

Kili struggles to shift into his wolf form even with help from his brother and Bilbo and most of the company thinks that Bilbo most definitely died.

Of course, Its cute one imo. Frodo is tired of Uncle Bilbo being sad, he gets even sadder when he gets letters from his dwarves far away. So whats a faunt to do but go there and let Mr King Dain let Uncle Bilbo visit. And if Frodo is there, Uncle Bilbo will visit, hopefully the dwarves will sotp him grounding Frodo forever, but if Uncle Bilbo smiles, it will be worth it. Snippet:

"Dain isn't the King laddie. He's Lord of the Iron Hills. Dain doesn't live in Erebor.” Balin explained gently.

The hobbit's little face screwed up in confusion. "Yes he does, he's King under the Mountain,  Uncle said so. He said he didn't deserve it, because he did nothing but kill a few orcs at the end. Uncle said he came in and stole Thorin's throne because Thorin was an idiot and went and upped and died." 

Every dwarf in the hall went quiet and Thorin choked on his saliva in surprise. Fili bashed him on the back, not taking his eyes off the tiny child in front of them.

"Lad, is your Uncle Bilbo Baggins?" Balin asked hopefully. The lad nodded his head enthusiastically.

Thorin stood once again and slowly moved forward. "But ... but Bilbo Baggins, Hero of Erebor is dead." He said sadly.

"No, he isn't, he's at Bag End, well, actually, he's probably on his way and really mad at me" the little hobbit answered with a sheepish smile. 

"And why is your Uncle mad at you lad? What's your name too if you don't mind my asking?" Balin asked, gaining the lad's attention again. 

The boy stood as tall as possible "Frodo Baggins, son of Drogo and Primula, ward of Bilbo Baggins at your service" he said, giving a very dwarven bow and then adding quietly to Balin "Uncle said that's how dwarves introduce themselves and we should always be polite because otherwise they might throw your plates and sing daft songs".
