Pride and jealousy are ancient lessons, woven through Torah, mystical tradition, and the spiritual wisdom of the world. The fire that consumed the rebels is not only literal—it is a symbol of the inner destruction caused by misplaced desire. The Torah invites us to examine our own hearts: Are we seeking our role in life with humility, or are we grasping for what belongs to others? Are we listening to the divine voice, or the whispers of envy and ego? To live rightly is to honor the roles, the service, and the responsibilities that HaShem has entrusted to us, to walk humbly in the harmony of the community, and to bring our gifts to the world without claiming what is not ours. with love, Rheena Velia
