As is commonplace for most neurodivergent people [my assumption, but undoubtedly a correct one] to do with their friends and lovers, me and Cree have been for many millenia picking some obscure animal we spot, doing a few minutes of research, and going: "You." 🫵

We have taken many titles, Hyena, Maned Wolf, Secretary Bird, various round birds, but I believe the game is finally over. Because nothing can beat this.

Despite sharing their name and superficial appearance with the African viverrids also known as linsangs, genetic analysis in the mid 00s has determined banded linsangs and their closest relatives not to be viverrids at all and, instead, the closest living relatives of all true felids!
