16 Years (Bang Chan x Reader)
@skzrequests
Request: third prompt list 12, 25 and 27 with Chan? This is really short :/
Word count: 583
Chan was swinging his hips, dancing around the kitchen. You popped your head around the corner.
“Are you done, yeeeeeet?” You whine.
“Almost,” he turns around, directing a gentle smile at you, “can you get my slippers? They’re under the couch.”
“Please tell me again why your slippers are under the couch?”
“Because they got kicked last time we had a pillow fort.”
“And who did the kicking of the slippers?”
“Nuh-uh, it was you,” he turns and points the spatula at you, hot liquid splattering on the floor.
When Chan pointedly turns back around to the stove and starts singing to the radio, you just sigh and go back to retrieve his slipper, like the excellent partner you are. Now you will accept responsibility for kicking Chan’s slippers under the sofa, but you won’t say it to him.
When you reach under the couch expecting to hit soft fluff, your hand instead lands on something of a very…. questionable texture. It was smooth and hard, you know, like a bug. You squeak and harshly yank your hand back your body.
Against any better judgement, you look under into the darkness and yep! That is a bug, through and through.
“Chan!” You yell and jump over the couch cushions.
You can only hear his heavy footsteps as he rushes into the room. You pop your head over the back to look at his concerned face.
“I thought you got hurt or something, ow.”
“Emotional pain, Chan. There’s a bug!” You whine and pout though he can’t see.
He tilts his head, perplexed, “it’s the middle of winter, and we keep everything closed. How is there a bug?”
“I swear, I’m not crazy!!! There was…” you shiver even thinking about it, “something under the couch.”
“There you go, you little buggers who wanted me to do this. They’re hiding behind the sofa.”
You stand up fully but crunch back down when you see the rubber monstrosity still in Chan’s hand. “Who was it?!”
“Who what?” Chan looks at you, eyebrows knitted together.
“The ones who wanted you to do this!”
“Are you going to murder them if I tell you?” He raises one eyebrow.
You put your hands up over the back of the couch in some gesture of peace, “just a little bit.”
He chuckles, “I’m fairly sure murder is an all or nothing kind of action. And as annoying as they are…”
Thinking about you do agree, and you hum, assuming Chan can hear you.
You peek your head back over the couch as Chan pockets his phone. “No. Regrets. Just in case you were wondering.”
“I’m gonna make sure your slippers are under the couch every time we have a pillow fort for the next 16 years.”
“Are you really gonna stay with me for that long?” Chan looks at your half-hidden face, a light blush on his face and eyes wide.
You roll your eyes, affectionately, “was that all you got from that?”
You get up and walk over to him, wrapping your arms around his middle. Burying your face in his hoodie, you think briefly about what the next 16 years would look like with him.
“Yeah, I want to. If you’ll have me.”
“We’ll be having this prank war for 16 years, too, then.”
You smack him on the arm, “you suck! You have to feed me now.”
“Just ask if you want me to baby you geez,” he says teasingly, and you lean into each other more.
