Trainer Virgil wants to battle!

"my pokémon and i really don't want to battle, but i suppose it's custom..."

okay, okay.. i really like pokémon so i wanted to try to draw all the sander sides as pokémon trainers, as well as pick out what pokémon i think work best for their personality! this is also the first time i've tried to draw in the pokémon style, so it doesn't look that great, haha. (also the first time i've done a background like this)

i kinda imagine virgil is the type of trainer to adopt sad or misunderstood pokémon. like he doesn't want to fight or be a proper trainer, he just wants to help pokémon and give them a safe place. his pokémon probably never go into pokéballs because he feels like he’s trapping them.

I never posted my small bannetes here!! If they're spirits trapped in dolls, wouldn't it make sense (and also be adorable) for them to take on aspects of said dolls!!
