like i loved that part of jack. like him trying to do something impressive so he wouldn't be a burden to those around him. and him being like not very good or very bad but in the times of fairy tales that's not enough. but it was enough for his loved ones and he didn't know it till he died. but now he knows in the book. it's just SO COMPELLING AND PERSONAL AND CATHARTIC AND I LOVE IT
