Guys, don't miss out on effective movements because of your ego. I can only assume that I never seen men doing these because they think they might look funny or weird doing them. 🙄. The barbell hip thrust has served me well since they very beginning and have been instrumental in alleviating lower back pain that used to be a chronic problem. This one movement works the entire posterior chain (spinal erectors, lower back, glutes, and hamstrings) as well as your core. The strength you build in this movement will contribute to your squat and deadlift as well. I often hear comments like, "I would hurt myself if I did those...". I push more weight in this lift than any other, and you know what? I have never been injured (sprain, strain, etc) from these. I can't say the same thing for any other compound lift. If you have a desk-job (like me), I HIGHLY recommend that you have this movement in your routine! 👍🏻. I have to know...
