This just got shared in one of my Facebook groups. This is a REAL car, not a toy. It's a 2004 (15-year-old) Volkswagen New Beetle, completely customized in Barbie pink! It also has only 45,000 miles on it and is in Omaha, NE, which isn't all that far from me... but I already have a Bug so it's okay. :D I don't even know if it's for sale, but someone did a great job on it!

Throwback Thursday could include a Barbie car I’ve had for many years, right? I got this the year it came out. Bugs have always been my favorite vehicle, and after many years, my very first car was a Beetle, and it’s coincidentally an exact replica of the Barbie one I’ve had for 17+ years, down to the interior (this wasn’t intentional, it just happened). This calls for a celebration!

Can you see a resemblance? And what I was trying to accomplish? :D

Also, I always thought Barbie cars were too small/short... even more so now! Come on Mattel, our dolls need more room on the road!
