I've decided to actually plan and rework the fanfic I was previously writing. It didn't get that far, but that's because I tend to not plan anything. I'm still in the brainstorming stage, so feedback is welcome. Anyway, here's what I've come up with so far in background lore.
The Start(You're here) | Next
This takes place in an alternate universe where the cast of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is placed into a modernish fantasy setting. The year is left ambiguous for the reader to decide.
The story will take place in the surrounding area of a huge mountain that’s been split into four territories. Each one represents a season and a fantasy species.
The mountain is only known by legend and myths, as it seems to shift in and out of existence, which is due to fae magic keeping it hidden from most people. Though, it’s surprisingly easy for someone to just stumble across the fairy rings that mark each territory. This is because the fae like watching the fallout of the unsuspecting person trespassing into the four brothers’ territories.
The Hamato brothers(oldest–youngest): Raph, Leo, Donnie & Mikey are the rulers of each separate territory.
The Northern side of the mountain:
Donnie’s territory.
Winter vibe.
Purple.
Goblins and a beetle sub-species of fae live here.
Has a steampunk and gothic aesthetic.
Fairy rings are rare herbs and spices that change with the seasons.
The Eastern side of the mountain:
Leo’s territory.
Spring vibe.
Blue.
Nymphs and a dragonfly subspecies of fae live here.
Has a Greek and an almost coastal aesthetic.
Fairy rings are colourful mushrooms that change with the seasons.
The Southern side of the mountain:
Mikey’s territory.
Summer vibe.
Orange.
The majority of fae live here, with the cousin species of pixies.
Has a maximalist and arty aesthetic.
Fairy rings are bright wildflowers that change with the seasons.
The Western side of the mountain:
Raph’s territory.
Autumn/Fall vibe.
Red.
Trolls and a moth subspecies of fae live here.
Has a Roman and grunge aesthetic.
Fairy rings are mossy stones.
Again, these are just some basic ideas I wrote down so I could remember what I wanted, and I will elaborate on them in the future.
Random Earthlight AU doodles. First meetings are not always the best. Instead of catching dinner, Atlas (OC) ends up catching the man witnesses claim to have released the warlock from his prison. Some interrogation involved.
Something in the man’s research notes has the boy make a deal: The alchemist will travel with him to capture the evil sorcerer to atone for his ‘crimes’, and in return, Atlas will help complete his research. There are many questions Atlas has about his hair stripe, and he has a feeling that the alchemist might be able to answer it.
