Bristol Docklands from the Air - 1934
In this image we see the curve of Bristol's Floating harbor (top left) and the Bathurst Basin with a ship unloading, and the then General Hospital with the tower at its corner (Now fully redeveloped into apartments and flats) and in the lower right we see the Tidal River Avon. Much of the remaining built up area in this shot was severely damaged during the German bombing raids of WWII and this area of the city has changed dramatically since, as has almost all of the cities medieval centre which was destroyed during the blitz...
