@serphantel sent this Valentine to the deer, the kitten, and Night respectively:

Night's White Day reply:

"Haha, the deer and the kitten look really cozy on that boat...or are they actually there to judge you while you woo?"

"Why would they be there to judge - huh...you know, they are looking pretty intensely...maybe it's a good thing we're not on that White Day outing?"

"What are you doin' on a date that you're worried about a deer and a cat lookin' at you? It's just a deer and a cat."

"It's not 'just' a deer and a cat! It's a deer and a kitten!"

"'kay. Big whoop."

"if you aren't careful...they'll eat all the food while you're on your White Day trip!"

"Right...don't think that's what the two bozos are nervous about."

"Oi!"

"Who are you calling bozos?! You don't think it would be odd to be stared at throughout the whole evening?"

"And to have to watch your food all night..."

"Speaking of food, I spy with my little eye something...interesting."

[He looks at the woods. A bulky shadow sways from a distant tree branch. He heads over to take a look.]

"Aha, he's gone!"

[Ambrosia crouches down and reaches out to start stroking the kitten's head.]

"Aww, you're so cute...it took every bit of me to resist telling Sir X - Lady Bo-Peep is right! It's not just a deer and a kitten...they are absolute adorableness.

Hehe...I'm so glad Lady Serph gave me this secret extra something. Although, I didn't think he should have the full cookie so I ate most of it. It was delicious! If you have more, I would certainly be happy to partake.

Now, here's a treat for you, little kitty..."

[When Night has gone over, he sees a jar hanging from a branch with a rope. Inside the jar is a quarter of a cookie. He smiles as he reaches up for it.]

"And here, I almost thought there would be...something else hanging here. It's just a cookie."

[Popping open the jar, he withdraws the cookie and takes a bite.]

"Mm...I know your taste, Serph. I'll be seeing you soon."

Someone just told me on Ao3 on 'Bend Around the Wind' that since they played BG3 they cannot stop imagining Hatchet as looking like Astarion... and you know what? Totally valid, I don't blame you.

I can brag that I've done it first back in 2012, I guess. They are not exactly the same in personality, but the visuals, yes there are some similarities. Good job Baldur's Gate.

So like. I'm wondering exactly why Viktor copies his uncle. And I've begun to have a feeling on it that I don't really like.

We know that Arsenik and Viktor are "closer in age than you might think", and they seem to be pretty close, like, for an uncle & nephew dynamic. Their shenanigans (read: Viktor's shenanigans and Arsenik's reaction to such) are very much like brothers, and I have to wonder if that's essentially how they were raised.

If Arsenik has been a mentor to Viktor his entire life, while they're of a similar generation... well, a problem you can find with sibling-esque dyanmics is that... if one of them is unique enough, good enough, they will get all of the attention. And the other will get overshadowed.

For example, compare the two. We know Arsenik is a strategist, and he's well-known for several things even outside of his clan. He's handsome, he's mysterious. He's worth warning about. And who's Viktor? ...Well, he's Arsenik's nephew.

Do you see the problem. Arsenik is brought up on his own very often, but Viktor's existence is so often preluded by his uncle's that he himself is a second thought! In fact, this whole dynamic seems to be present in Viktor's very purpose in BATW. Arsenik is romanceable, but Viktor is not. And when you actively seek him out in the demo, it's most likely to find Arsenik or get him to help you wrangle the guy into one of those dang healing tents already.

How often does Viktor appear - and not just in the demo, everywhere, discord or tumblr - without the context of Arsenik looming beside him? With that in mind, Viktor copying his uncle reads to me like... a plea for attention. It's so he looks just as interesting, sounds just as interesting. All this, from the guy that can confess he was used to being picked last. Sure, he could be doing it simply because he thinks Arsenik is someone worth looking up to - ...but do you really copy someone else's outfit and mannerisms when you like who you are?

I don't think that's coincidence.

And another thought: It makes even more sense to me now that Arsenik is actively disconcerted by Viktor copying him, because he probably sees why. Arseenik clearly cares about his nephew - if he didn't, I can imagine it would be real easy to find every excuse not to hang around the guy. And really, he just wants Viktor to be his own person for his own sake. It would suck to see someone you care about be held to overwhelmingly high standards, that are only there because you existed too close to them.

But anyway, enough of that guy, This Post Was About Viktor. I'm a Viktor enjoyer now.

Time for my annual re-read of Bend Around The Wind.... Juyu Bee Drongo and Hatchet my beloveds....

My Valentine gift to @poisonappletales (Specifically,

Crown Ruler-)

Here we have Unknown, staring at Ambrosia's picture with

deep desire for her to be his, before using his pipe to make

his wish come true.

Now, let me explain about what inspired this piece idea:

* Unknown as a piper-

In episode 6 of the "Dont Take This Risk" webtoon, a myth is mentioned.

In this myth, a creature usually refered to as "The Piped Piper" is mentioned.

The piper is looking for the recarnation of his bride. Every decade, he meets her decendent. If she has those three traits:

- Pure hearted

- Pure bodied

- Blood of the Phoneix flowing through her veins

He will do everything in his power to seduce her to be his.

• Using his pipe (pun very much intended)-

Now, if I am basing Unknown's character on this myth, he would be 'The Piped Piper'.

Now, Ambrosia follows all three traits 'The Piper' is looking for; which is why he would use everything in his power to gain her.. including (but not limited) to charm her with the magic of his pipe.

(I first thought of Unknown playing the pipe to lure Ambrosia ~His fangirls~ away, the first time I listened to "Piped Piper" by BTS.

It felt like a perfect song for him: magical, enchanting, luring you in.. all disguised in a seemingly innocent melody).

• "Whetever by your own choice; or mine"-

Now, here comes my favorite part:

Accoeding to the legend, if 'The Piped Piper' has found the recarnation of his bride, he will do everything in his power to make her his.. but all within her consent.

But not in Unknown's case.

As we've seen in the Webtoon and in the game "Dont Take This Risk": Unknown has no respect for Ambrosia's boundries.

Shall she try to object to anything he offers, he will manipulate her to get EXACTLY what he wants and how he wants it.

So, I felt that it would be perfect to use that said sentence for my piece:

Unknown wants Ambrosia, and he will do anything in his power to gain what he wants.. and he doesnt care if it violates Ambrosia's wishes.

So! That is my explanation on this fan-art piece.
