Listen I don't want to say bottom Erik is completely serious because I have actually seen people pushing bottom erik using really weird/homophobic arguments. They definitely aren't as pervasive as bottom charles people but its there and I wouldn't want to excuse it just bc they agree w my hc. The issue w how some fans treat Erik doesn't stop by making him a bottom, unfortunately, and at the end of the day there's nothing inherently wrong with placing certain characters in certain roles.

One thing it does remind me of tho, is how so many people will write trans Charles but not trans Erik. And its like Erik politics-wise makes a lot more sense as a trans person than Charles does

I will say I hate how the fandom writes Shaw and Charles, all of the Shaw/Charles things I've seen don't engage w the actual dynamics between the characters and instead choose to impose a dynamic that is just Erik/Shaw

but erik is not a hero character as much as we all see him as one he is unfortunately an antagonist so it’s going. to be worse. theres no way it cant be worse i don’t even know how to handle it i do not trust any mcu writer like even good ones will be chained by the mouse and therefore not allowed to give erik enough depth to seem like he’s anything besides (at best) a tragic villain
