You actually liked Mary - at least she wasn't dull.

Mixed feelings towards her. She wasn't dull, that is true. And we did get well along occasionally, having similiar thought patterns. However, she shot me. That was not so much likeable. Although I did get attached to a morphine drip thanks to her, which was enjoyable, the rest of the whole ordeal however was horrible. I nearly went mad with boredom in hospital. Only thing kept me sane was the morphine and John's regular visits. Otherwise I would have climbed out the window a second time, no matter whether I bled out. Although after my first escape they boarded them all up and put a guard in front of my room. But we are probably even now due to the fact for her saving me from another bullet.

Bbc ghosts question:

So in the order of eras the ghosts lived Mary (a Stuart) would have died after Humphrey (a Tudor)-which means she would have died on the houses property. But why would there be a witch trial in a house? She could have died in the backyard, but thats still really weird. And it’d be more likely she’d be burned in the village by the commoners, not by someone rich enough to afford Button House..

Thoughts?

All the negativity I see towards Mary Morstan and how she supposedly will ruin John and Sherlock's relationship is pissing me off. Their relationship is going to be different at first anyway because Sherlock fucking faked his suicide. John's not going be okay with it immediately. Also, in canon, Holmes and Watson stay good and close friends despite Watson's marriage. I know a lot of people like to think Watson didn't much care for his wife, but I don't think there's any real evidence about that in the books. The way I've always seen it, is that Mary understands how important John's friendship with Sherlock is.

And I for once am super excited that at least one adaptation saw potential in Mary and is actually bringing her into the series. And is very likely expanding her role from the canon. AND THAT IS AWESOME!
