Hello! Oh my god! (๑•̀ᄇ•́)و ✧ Welcome back! We missed you so much. We wanted to know if you took good care of yourself while you were gone 👀
Anyway! I'm here to ask an answer my OC character needs to know, haha, a silly question (= ̄ω ̄=)
‘’What if MC is forced/voluntarily joins a cult or organized crime group? ‘’
Haha! Sorry for the slightly odd question! But if you reply, thank you so much! Love you and BH forever!! 🫂🫶
I do think I look after myself, ty ^^ though I should drink more sometimes, so I really appreciate all the reminders I often get from you guys <3
MC canonically has their own background story in the game, so I'd say you'll have to wait until Day 2 comes out. why? because 'organized crime group' might be a thing ;D
and I've mentioned before that there's indeed a cult in the city. so maybe I could elaborate on that a little? mostly because uhm, a certain someone is tied to them, hehe~
first of all, they'd never call themselves a cult—they see each other as ‘found family.’ they've only existed for 10 years, and consist of people searching for meaning and purpose, people who feel lost or ostracized, and who no longer feel connected to Ilmari. Hueväri have basically been conditioned to accept things as they are—to believe in Ilmari’s plan and their own purpose, and that, as supreme beings, they’re meant to stand above everyone else.
but Ilmari is gone, and in some circles, that once perfectly woven knot is starting to unravel. the cult asks a lot of (philosophical) questions and is trying to uncover the truth behind their existence, their powers, and Ilmari’s disappearance. which sounds good on paper, but they also twist every small discovery into proof that it was ‘meant to be,’ that they’re ‘chosen,’ and that one day they will be at the top and no longer be looked down upon. they operate as a kind of secret society, with a tight inner circle at the center. to the outside world, they present themselves as people who help others escape abusive situations (they will tell you "I'm a friend who cares about you."). they have their own customs, trials, and initiation rituals.
while they can be manipulative, the leader makes it clear he doesn’t want the group to harm its own members. but harm to any outsiders? that's perfectly acceptable.
there's a lot more to them, but that's all I can share for now. MC might be able to join them if they want to :)
the boys wouldn't be too thrilled about it. DG isn't very fond of them... for personal reasons. Damon would be surprised to find out that MC might hold views that are completely different from his own, but that’s still easier to accept than letting you join a whole group that would try to come between the two of you if necessary. Rasmus doesn't know anything about them, but he would do anything to stop you from joining them. and Vito would be very quiet and conflicted about this, but he wouldn't stop you.
