Sigh… why does yn in every Tokyo Rev & Blue Lock story have to be either a fighter (ik youre not. You cannot beat 3 muscular guys who are trained to fight btw. Thats why I personally hate the "badass" reader), or, in Blue Lock fics, a girl whos somehow part of the program (project shit). Like… a girl there. With a famous family, amazing skills, and all that shit...hell nah.

Another rant for today. Can yall please stop with the incest in almost every x reader hotd fanfic. Because why every time I search let's say aemond targaryen x reader. ITS EITHER HIS SISTER OR NIECE. Like come on is there not any other options, like can't she be from one of the different houses or a warrior or something man. Like I am tired😭

I don't understand how people who love Alastor as their favorite character can continue to ship Radioapple when all or almost all content with that ship is about Lucifer worshipped by his fangirls who, by projecting themselves onto Lucifer, use Alastor as his loyal, sex-hungry, obsessed and possessive servant

As a fan who's favorite character is Alastor who wants to continue shipping him with Lucifer, I can sorta understand the feeling. Everyone has their own reasons for shipping characters and are allowed to have their reasons, even if it, unfortunately, results in characterizations that make you want to scream, there's not much you can do about that.

What I will say is that I have been struggling to enjoy RadioApple/AppleRadio recently (I've honestly been struggling to enjoy Lucifer as a character in general--for multiple reasons that aren't just fanon based), which sucks because I really like the ship and I have a lot of fics (and unposted wips) of them I want to continue.

I'm still holding onto them and I've found the best way to do that is by literally avoiding the characterization I dislike, which I encourage other people do so as well regardless of whatever characterization/dynamic/relationship/etc you like of them. Mute tags, mute/block people who do enjoy it so it doesn't cross your feed, filter out tags on AO3, find others fans who enjoy the characters the way you do and interact with them. Write the fics you want to read. Draw the art you want to see. Comment and kudo on the things you enjoy. Fandom becomes a lot more fun that way.

Seriously, don't feel bad about muting tags or people, you're allowed to curate your own fandom experience and you don't have to force yourself to see or interact with fics/fan-art/videoes/posts/etc... you don't enjoy. Why put yourself through that misery? (Look I had to mute the Lucifer tag entirely and my life has been so much breezier since then. I'll probably unmute it eventually but for right now it has kept be happy, safe, and sane).

I think RadioApple/AppleRadio has amazing aspects and the relationship between them can be so so tasty, so if I have to be the one to create the content I want to see then so be it!

No one is stopping you from creating content you enjoy. Instead of finding community with others by hating on things you don't enjoy or find accurate - find community by creating things that you do enjoy and find accurate.

The only reason art exists is because someone perceives something, it inspires an idea, and then they create something new. And the cycle continues.

Canon and Fanon work the same way. You think canon Sirius would bully fanon Sirius? Then make a fic, hc, or fanart accurate to your interpretation of him. Don't just complain. You can't blame other people for not drawing what you see or not writing what you think.

That's not sharing an opinion - that's being hateful and judgmental and that's not a foundation any community should be built off of. Do not send hate to authors and artists.

Pick up a pencil and do it yourself if you want to see something different.
