me whenever i see someone use their extremely white coded OC on the x reader tag.

Idc if this makes anybody mad but

1) No my name is not fucking Juliana or whatever. Tag your fics properly.

2) Your OC is NOT a reader and it is NOT inclusive. I am not white. I do not have a white name. My “face claim” is not white.

3) There is a separate tag for OCs. Use that. Stick to that.

Tag. Your. Fics. Properly. Especially when it’s a non white person you’re writing for. Leave something for us BIPOC please 🙏

There’s a reason why I say we need representation in makeup! The diversity that makes up humans skin color and tones is huge. I get it isn’t easy to have a shade for everyone but this is not even trying. This is one shade. Straight black pigment. I have never seen a human that is pure black. There’s undertones, overtones, and this is lazy and sloppy. In the year of 2024 if you’re not making an inclusive makeup line, don’t bother.

Introducing these new words (because language is made up by people) that will shorten your sentences but still make the point and keep it inclusive to non-binary and intersex people!

✨Pregnanteer(s) ( 'preg-nən-'tir)✨

- person who can get pregnant

- combination of pregnant and volunteer (cuz pregnancy SHOULD be something done willingly like any service a volunteer does)

✨Vagineer(s) ('va-jə-'nir)✨

- person with a vagina

- combination of vagina and engineer

- treats this part of the body and the other part related to it as complex machinery that needs an expert in the field to properly run and supervise it (so excludes all of those who never had one)

(I'm also someone in STEM so I like the connection to that. Sue me)

Hope you enjoy these new words! And if you don't like them, make up your own! We made "literally" have a literal and figurative meaning to it in the dictionary years ago, so who's to say we can't make other changes to our language?

We should normalize using they/them a LOT more, especially when we don't know someone's pronouns. You're trying to point out a stranger to your friend? Use inclusive words! "You see that person in the green shirt?" "Look at them over there with purple hair! It's gorgeous!" "Our waiter server was super nice! They deserve a really good tip."

Edit: swapped out waiter for server because I'm a dumbass and accidentally used gendered language in a post talking about not using gendered language.

I'm hearing that April 10th might be gatekept.

I get that people at the event should get special treatment and they should have limited access since they paid for it and they might want more people to attend by hyping it this way. But past a certain point, announcing that it'll be exclusive this late in the game isn't going to change people's minds about whether they're going or not, they would've had to have it prepared already. I understand days where the rest of the community doesn't get anything but if you have an anniversary event and exclude most of your fanbase (in a pandemic no less) for weeks or months at a time, you're going to get people salty no matter what.

I also don't understand because they know that someone is going to leak information about it, wouldn't they want fans to see the thing proper rather than be spoiled by twitter? It happened too many times during KH3's development where they worked so hard to put together a trailer only to get leaked weeks before (Monsters Inc and I think it was Phantom Aqua)

If you're going to do that, the LEAST you could do is set a date that the information goes public for EVERYONE to look forward to rather than having anxiety over whether something may or may not happen.
