Lion the carrier pigeon cotemaster and his two scribe employees: a father and daughter pair of corven (Arruk and Riihii) who write the very small, often encoded, messages that the birds carry. Lion deals more with the public and the birds themselves, while the corven do other scribe work when there aren't messages to send, and deliver incoming messages locally. Communication by pigeon is fairly discreet: the birds are bred to be easy to load up with protective and illusory charms, and the message containers they carry can be locked using trade secret methods. Because of this, it's an attractive service to anyone who would prefer not to use a dragon or beastclan messenger. Many important figures in Gladeveins keep a small cote of Lion's birds as a means of private communication, and Lion would prefer that it didn't get out that one of those people is Moggie, the current criminal underlord of the city.

Lion and his scribes are based in Gladeveins City, and the network of birds he deals with include cotes in the Wispwillow Grove, the Forum of the Obscured Crescent, Lanternlea Port, the Pox Consulate, Gladebough, Terraclae, and the Colonnades of Antiquity. He regularly ships birds out to those locations to replace those who have been sent back to him with messages, and he houses birds from all of those locations in case any messages need to go out. The other cotes house birds from further afield, and thus a multi-step journey of pigeons can be used to carry a message across the entire world if necessary, although it is far more frequently used for shorter range communication, and most of what he deals with are local messages and communication between the governments of Gladeveins and Gladebough. Arcane, Wind, and Lightning territories have had other (faster) methods of communications for a long time now, but carrier pigeons have a little while left of usefulness before a more global telegram method gets established on Sornieth.

I... can't remember if I've ever asked you about Beastclans before o.o Does your clan have any resident Beastclans? Or are there any Beastclan tribes nearby your clan interacts with? Dryads perhaps (all hail Gladekeeper!) or omg do you think there are any goannas as part of that lizardfolk clan because there needs to be o-o

Some people (like you and Batcrooks) have amazing beastclan lore and OCs that I love seeing, but personally I'm not really interested in incorporating them into my own clan lore much. I joined FR to play with dragons not fantasy people sldkvjlv

I do have a Fae dragon, Ruha, whose girlfriend is a centaur. I drew them once (art in bio) but really haven't thought about them much... to the point where I still haven't even named the centaur despite that idea being like 10 years old at this point :P

for goanna beastclans........they already DO exist!!

i mean these guys sure look like goannas to me, just with some fancy fantasy back-sail frill thing. they are perfect and i love them so much, and if i WAS going to do anything with beastclans they'd surely be my first pick :3 don't think i can really include them in my clan though, since they're from plague flight
