I’m an “Erik and Raven actually never slept together” truther. After that one kiss in First Class, nothing more ever happened between them; Erik had no interest, and Raven, who was clearly hung up on Hank for a while and trying to move on, obviously hooked up with Azazel instead, given that Kurt exists. But the rest of the Brotherhood started assuming that Erik and Raven were lovers, given how close they were, especially during the OG trilogy, and they just let the rumor live on because they found it funny and because Raven thought it added to her sense of being “Mystique” if nobody knew for sure who she was with. So in X2, when Erik said “you have no idea” in response to “she’s good,” he intentionally said it in the most sultry possible voice to give the others the wrong impression and gross them out, because why not? It’s their sense of humor.
