VANESSA HUDGENS in 'Beastly' (2011)
Kyle Kingsbury/Adrian King canon details (Beastly, 2007)
Was raised predominantly by nannies, one is mentioned but not by name
his dad owns a house in upstate New York, where they spent a few winters when Kyle was a kid, but stopped going after Rob became too career obsessed
His mother left him and his father when he was 11 years old, moved to Miami, Florida, and remarried a plastic surgeon, so Kyle has a step-father
Didn’t have a Christmas tree for five years after his mom left
Was on two sports teams at Tuttle School, hockey, and the other isn’t confirmed but he mentions running the track a handful of times and considering the running through the streets of New York at the end, it can be assumed he was on the track team
His best friend was Trey Parker up until he was 15 (when he was cursed) and he states they’ve been friends for ten years, meaning that they met in kindergarten and had been friends since
Went trick or treating with Trey when they were 8 years old and BOTH dressed up as Spider-Man, and egged a neighbors door
Attended a dance class with Trey at a country club when they were 11
Attended summer camp? He says he had never made anything before he built the greenhouse, not even a birdhouse at camp, so I’m taking that as canon
He was praised for his reading by teachers, and according to Lindy’s Diary is really good at math, he also took Spanish at Tuttle
Really likes baseball, huge Yankees fan
Once went to the zoo and felt deep pity for tiger being trapped in its cage
Favorite movie was Inglourious Basterds, and had seen The Princess Bride at some point, also Forrest Gump and Carrie. And Pride and Prejudice with Sloane
Watched It’s a Wonderful Life when he was 12
Has had at least six girls have crushes on or be interested in him; Lindy Owens, Sloane Hagen, Wimberly Sawyer, Bronwen Kreps, and two unnamed girls who gave him the cold shoulder after thinking he would ask them to the dance
Was cursed at 12 A.M. on Saturday, May 6, which according to the calendar would have occurred in 2006! Also occurred in 2017 and 2023!
Owned both an XBox and a Wii
Is a very good figure skater, probably from playing hockey
Enjoys sci-fi and Gothic novels
Was placed into AP English his senior year
Enjoys eating Cheetos and milk together???
My dad comes home with patches that say “Embrace the suck” and he’s like “Do you know what this means?”
And I’m like… “As in the curse delivered by Mary-Kate Olsen as Kendra in the 2011 film Beastly?”
And he’s like “No, as in the Navy Seals???”
“The Navy Seals saw Beastly?”
This movie (Beastly, 2011) managed to build up a pretty decent plot, but invalidate itself within the last two minutes. The main guy getting his looks back negates the movie's message of finding beauty in yourself and beauty being on the inside by reinforcing societal impressions of beauty, which the movie was trying to destroy!"
Me, at 1:45am after watching "Beastly" (2011) for the first time
BEASTLY by Alex Flinn
Amybeth McNulty as Linda “Lindy” Owens
“People make such a big deal about looks, but after a while, when you know someone, you don’t even notice anymore, do you? It’s just the way they look.”
Sam McCarthy as Kyle Kingsbury/Adrian King
“I love you, I thought. But I didn’t say it. It was not that I feared she would laugh in my face. She was far too kind for that. My fear was a greater one—that she wouldn’t say it back.”
Adam Brody as Will Fratalli
“I studied hard so that I can work, so I wouldn’t have to be supported by someone else. I can’t give that up.”
Quintessa Swindell as Kendra Hilferty
“I don’t go to school at all or live here or anywhere. I am old as the ages and young as the dawn. Otherworldly beings cannot be bribed.”

Did I start ANOTHER Beastly fanfic?
Yes, yes I did.
Following my last post about the movie Beastly, I have a plot to propose :
Same beginning, handsome jerk Blond McJawline got cursed by Witch and now look like a alternative guy who got into a car accident.
He want to break the curse but in this version he understand that the underground scene is a thing so he start to hang out in alternative bars and shows to try the get a girl to fall in love with him
He ends up making a bunch of friends and discover a pretty wholesome community. He feel liked and accepted for who he is. He doesn't really want to go back to who he was before.
Now you can add a love interest in this or not, but I want the rest of the movie to be him trying to get people to NOT tell him they love him (I don't remember if it was told in the original movie that the declaration to break the curse must be one of romantic love, but in my version platonic love work all the same).
He finally understand that is friends/love interest would love him either way, and anyway the looks he has now were not his choice, but the witch's choice. This is not him either.
The curse get broken and he immediately makes an appointment to get his first tattoo.
THE END
