I might be in this big university alone, but nature gave me a hug with this sunset.

I was having an emotional afternoon and little issues with my car and other life stuff felt like a tremendous weight on my mental wellbeing. I felt overwhelmed and I was convinced everything was going wrong.

I mustered up the motivation to go over to the library and work for a bit before they close and let me tell you what!!! Mother Nature gave me one big hug and a kiss on the forehead with this sunset. I’m all alone at this new university and this was exactly what I needed tonight. I sat on this parking garage for a long time and watched the squirrels and the sun and the clouds and for ten minutes nothing mattered.

Yes my car is still making bad noises and I am still in the muck and mud of my problems but that doesn’t mean I don’t get to experience good in the middle of it.

Open letter to bullet journals on unlined paper

Dear bullet journal,

I know you were handmade with love and I have let you sit on my shelf for months now. It’s not you, it’s me. I surround myself with pictures of perfectly lined aesthetic notes and throw myself into a field of study where competition and striving for perfection are high.

I am going to do my best to use you to the fullest. I promise I won’t give up on you after using 1/8th of your potential. I’m going to forgive every crooked line I write and inconsistency in theme. I am a flawed person and embracing my flaws in this form will hopefully help me to embrace my flaws elsewhere.

So yeah, I feel like there’s a ton of pressure sometimes in the studyblr community for things to look a certain way, but we all know when it comes down to it everyone needs to do what’s best for themselves.
