★ Salman Khan finds beefing up for ‘Sultan’ difficult !
Salman Khan said, "I'm not gaining weight but gaining muscles for 'Sultan', and that is difficult. It is not fat... You have to follow a strict schedule."
November 10, 2015
Salman Khan, who promised his fans a “double size” avatar in “Sultan”, is gaining muscle for the upcoming film instead of piling on weight. He says it’s “difficult” and requires “a lot of hard work”.
“I’m not gaining weight but gaining muscles for ‘Sultan’, and that is difficult. It is not fat… You have to follow a strict schedule, but then it makes you stronger and fitter. It takes a lot of hard work,” Salman told IANS.
Bollywood’s “Dabangg” actor, who will turn 50 in December, followed in Aamir Khan’s footsteps for Ali Abbas Zafar’s “Sultan”, in which he will be seen as a wrestler. Aamir has been in news for his weight fluctuations for his film projects and that has raised concerns in the family over his health. But Salman said that it’s not the case for “Sultan”, which will hit the screens on Eid 2016.
The actor asserts that as he is not gaining weight or adding fat, there are no health complications involved. After entertaining his fans with a heart-warming story in “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, Salman will be making a comeback on the silver screen with his iconic ‘Prem’ character in “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”. The family drama, which reunites Salman with Sooraj Barjatya after 16 years, also stars Sonam Kapoor and Anupam Kher and will hit the screens on November 12.
Though Salman is excited over the film, he rues the fact that he is unable to dedicate much of his time on his fitness training.
“Training is going good. It is just that I have not given much time to it because of promotion of ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. I wish I wouldn’t have to promote films so that I would have concentrated on the training more. But this is also important,” he said.
One of the fittest actors of Bollywood, has started intensive training for wrestling and mixed martial arts for “Sultan” with international action director Larnell Stovall. Produced by Aditya Chopra under his Yash Raj Films banner, the movie is reportedly based on the life of a wrestler and the shooting of the film is scheduled to commence in November.

KP shrugs off PTI chief’s civil disobedience call
PESHAWAR: The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are giving a deaf ear to PTI Chief Imran Khan’s call for civil disobedience by filing tax returns. They are paying all outstanding dues against Sales Tax and Federal Excise Duty. Despite PTI government in the province, as many as 700 registered tax payers including traders and industrialists rejecting the civil disobedience call, are submitting tax…

[S]he tried to beef me up with stuff like Parrish's Chemical Food, a fearful reddish liquid which was supposed to turn your teeth black unless you bypassed them by sucking it through a straw. More directly, she would sit opposite me at the dinner-table pushing forkful after forkful into my mouth, not an ideal way of encouraging the appetite -- for solids, that is. Here again I feel I can spot a contributory cause of later developments.
Amis, in the Zachary Leader biography.
More gobbets over the next few pages, e.g.: "[the badly hungover Jim] darted back to the sideboard, picked up a slippery fried egg and slid it into his mouth whole. . . . Chewing violently, he doubled up a piece of bacon and crammed it between his teeth, then signalled he was ready to move. Intimations of nausea circled round his digestive system." Leader notes that the bacon is "vermilion"-colored later.)
