i was just having a good day and then i remembered the ampert and wellie castings and just how sweet and earnest their going to seem and just how much wellie is going to fit the description "headless baby chick" and just how little ampert's skeleton is going to be and now my day is. not going so good anymore.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but I don't believe any of the quarter quell games were actually originally intended. Snow was always up to some bullshit this those, he just used the premise of "the quarter quell" to hide it.

The second quarter quell, or Haymitch's games, were probably done to punish Beetee further. Not only is your son here, his odds of survival are 100% worse than your games were. I also wonder if it was to punish some districts that were getting a little too rowdy.

The first quarter quell, where the districts had to vote on which tributes to send, 100% was done to fuck with some people, I just don't know who. Were some districts trying to rise up? Was District 13 getting a little too close so Snow needed a way to shut down district rebellion? Did a victor/victors get too lippy? What happened?

We obviously know that he was trying to shut down the rebellion in the third quarter quell.

I wonder what was happening behind the scenes in the other two that we didn't see.
