WIP TITLE GAME

So this is another ongoing fic, one that I've been intermittently working on since. Like.

Two months after I joined the fandom?

I want to say I first started talking Star Wars with friends in early 2021, probably around February or March, and I very distinctly remember brainstorming this fic concept on Discord while waiting in line for my very first COVID vaccine.

That fic is intrinsically tied to 'oh god finally, protection' for me.

I don't have any unpublished snippets, but I can give you a fun fact:

This was originally referred to as the RexWalker fake married AU. The premise was very much about time-travel + fake married. Never real, because I like to subvert the expected, like the 'fake married becomes real relationship' standard. This part is not the fun fact.

The fun fact is that, in the four years that have passed, I have become understandably feral about RexWalker and may well decide to play the trope straight and have them start dating for real.

This, I assume, surprises no one.

There might be an online card generator you could use

the core rule of the game is that you pick but do not look at a card, that you lay face down, at key points and then flip the card for use as the deciding factor at the same point as seen from a different perspective. It’s (in my opinion) a really thoughtful and creative way to integrate the random element into the game and to make not just the mechanics but the literal object you use to generate the mechanics a major and dramatic part of the game itself, and I think you’d lose much of the impact if you used a virtual deck, hence the need for specifically a physical deck of cards.
