Day 9 - Heavy
Coliseum Behemoth Illustrator: Ryu Fujinaka
that fucking cat that i love
(Monster hunter isn't low fantasy. The definition of low fantasy is fantasy elements in our regular world, like Dracula and such. High fantasy simply means a fantasy that takes place in its own unique world. The term your looking for is fantastical realism)
(Thank you, I misunderstood the meaning there. I hope that my message was still able to get across though. Monster Hunter very sparingly resorts to magic and most things have a explainable biological reason. That’s compared to Final Fantasy where people are probably throwing meteors around or something. No disrespect or anything to Final Fantasy though. They’re just two vastly different types of games, which makes Behemoth even more jarring to me. Even the Leshens weren’t as extreme as it was, I would expect they could have been taken down by a Rathalos or Zinogre if given the chance (that’s unless they can control all animals and not just small ones, I don’t know much about Witcher). Behemoth would take some of the very heavy hitters to take it out.)
Tomorrow’s the big day my dudes!
10 for the monster hunter asks?
(Behemoth. Both in sense of gameplay and the fact that it’s the horrifying truth of what happens when you put a high-fantasy creature in a relatively low-fantasy world. It’s terrifyingly powerful, it still gives me trouble even with Master Rank gear)
