buck moves in with abby naturally, seamlessly. he lives at her place after she abandons him, waiting for her. she never comes back.

buck gets the loft with help and prodding from ali. a cold, minimalist sort of space. different than abby's lived-in apartment. not long after, she abandons him because of his injury being too much for her. she abandons him in the bachelor pad they got together, with a fucked up leg, and a bedroom up a flight of stairs.

buck gives up his privacy to quarantine with (at least) chim (and possibly hen and eddie). he doesn't mind the company, at least for a bit. he lets albert move in. it won't be as quiet, with him there.

buck asks taylor to move in with him because he panics, after kissing lucy. she agrees, though this, and the deception it was based upon, leans heavily upon their already cracked relationship, leading to it's eventual downfall.

buck delivers a baby on the couch in the loft with natalia there, his attention diverted to helping someone else. natalia leaves him because she cannot handle the extensiveness of buck's relationships, his trauma, the weirdness of his life. she can't handle the familiarity with which so many people enter buck's home.

buck asks tommy to move in with him as a grand overcompensating gesture, though well-meaning. he cares for this man and sees a future with him. tommy sees a caricature of a fumbling boy. he doesn't bother to look past it, instead letting himself be guided by stereotypes and norms into breaking up with buck. telling buck that it's inevitable that buck will hurt him.

buck goes to eddie. they don't have to talk.

he goes to eddie because he is always welcome there, no matter what weird self-discovery eddie himself is in the middle of.

he goes to the house he's most comfortable at, the one which he always seems to be in a corner of.

the one where "he's not really a guest".

and eddie just opens the door and lets him in.
