Aside from his celebrated role as Cut Copy’s bassist, Ben Browning has been etching out quite a namesake for some time now as a solo artist, too. The Australian songwriter and producer released his self-produced sophomore full length Even Though earlier this summer, a much praised 12 track set lead by early singles like its title track and Sunshine Baby. He’s since shared a music video for said title track Even Though, a wavy, funky, & brassy delight with balmy percussion and glimmering synths. Its pure nostalgic bliss, and its new visuals were shot by Browning’s university friend Chris Hill, who flew to San Francisco from Australia to shoot the video. The comedic clip revolves around a pastel pink rotary phone depicting Ben constantly, and perhaps in futility, searching for a connection. "Loosely it represents my continuing existential crisis. And it also contains saxophone," Ben says of the video. Ben's sophomore album Even Though, out now via Yellow Year Records, is available, here.
