💜💜💜The road is long & heavy. We never give up. 🙏🙏🙏💪💪💪We get scared & worry about those we love. Our hearts are immensely filled with love with the hope of one day just not feeling one ounce of pain. It's our courage & commitment to our loved ones that keep us going as well as our determination to fight the disease that kills everything inside but not our WILL TO LIVE! These beginning months have been rough & only my close ones know.❤️ I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there & continually being there. #TeamHeather #lupuswarrior💜 #lupusinfusions #LupusMom #lupuseritematososistemico #lupusanemia #benlysta #Lupus #lupusawareness #lupusambassador #lupuslife #lupusadvocate #lupusdoesntdefineme #LupusNephritis #lupusblog https://www.instagram.com/p/CpnlPOtAm9Y/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Shot #6 of Benlysta down. Idk why i was so scared to do it in my belly, it was so much less painful (probably because i'm chubby). Bled a little more though.
Also we're seeing results because I had blood work done and my results were stable for the first time in years. So yay!
Shot 4 of Benlysta done. My left thigh seems to just not work well for the injection, but Im still scared to do it in my tummy. Even though i have plenty of squish for it. I bled for the first time as well. Maybe i should get some fun bandaids to have on hand.
Did my 2nd Benlysta injection yesterday. Hurt so much more. Big owie compared to the 1st. Burned the entire 15 seconds. Left a giant welt on my thigh.
After week one side effects sucked. My stomach was upset, i felt feverish, nauseous, and so tired. But it subsided after 2 days.
Week 3 I start the injection in my stomach and I am terrified.
Infusion Day!
It was also infusion day #6!
Now I don't need to be monitored for 6hrs after each one I've been moved to a hospital closer to home, so instead of a 10hr day it's now there & back in 3hrs.
No sign of any beneficial effects yet, but also my lupus isn't flaring as it often does this time of year, so I'm taking that as a sign. And my bloods are normal, which I don't think they've ever been so... I just really want this to work you know 🤞
First ever Benlysta infusion treatment in west wales! I guess complaining about my doctor for 5 years has finally paid off
Only 6hrs to go...
